[Bug 941041] Re: jvocuhadju crashed with SIGSEGV in __libc_start_main()
So there are approximately 3 possibilities: 1) Some library it's linked with has been fixed/changed 2) Some compiler change has made it go away 3) Perhaps the bug is still there but only triggered if unlucky due to data alignment etc - so you got lucky this time. bit tricky to track down though; the only thought I've got is try seeing if the binary from 12.04 works on 13.10 (or maybe the other way) then you could try introducing other libraries to see if it follows - but you might hit other issues when trying to do mixes like that. [Bug 658042] Re: CD-ROM units doesn't mount automatically under a Live environment
OK, let me ask: 1) What makes people think it's a kernel bug? The kernel is detecting the CD drives in the bootdmesg, and if I read the bug correctly it mounts them if told to. 2) Does this issue happen in an installed system; i.e. if you install (I think you could probably install to a thumb drive if you wanted to be careful of your exisitng hard drive install) does it automount the CDs? 2a) Because if it does happen on an installed system it's going to be a heck of a lot easier to debug 3) udevdb is showing all three sr0,sr1,sr2 and for the drives with media seems to have identified the filesystems. [Bug 374927] Re: Sparse package doesn't run on 64 bits system
Hmm, I don't think it's gcc-multilib directly; I think it's something it depends on libc6-dev-i386 that it pulls in. I just tried this in a saucy (13.10) 64 bit vm, and it failed. sudo apt-get install gcc-multilib and it works But sudo dpkg --purge gcc-multilib gcc-4.8-multilib and it still works. sudo apt-get remove libc6-dev-i386 and it fails again so I think it depends on what you actually want from a fix; putting a dep on libc6-dev-i386 makes it work but it's still running sparse in 32 bits. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374927 Title: Sparse package doesn't run on 64 bits system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sparse/+bug/374927/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1216969] Re: man page names the same file twice -- are there really 2?
Hmm I think you're right; in most other parts of that text it says 'bash reads and executes commands from /etc/bash.bashrc and ~/.bashrc, if these files exist.' but that section does have ~/.bashrc twice. It doesn't seem to be upstream bash, but seems to be in the debian/ubuntu man-bashrc.diff patch. ** Changed in: bash (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: bash (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1216969 Title: man page names the same file twice -- are there really 2? Hi Adnan, Thanks for doing that, and we spotted it and bug 121707 has caused a sync of that fix into ubuntu, so it should land in Ubuntu anytime soon. Yes, but I didn't have many other ideas how to track it down except to leave it to the compiz/X devs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1205633 Title: Xorg stalls out the whole system when surfing with firefox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1205633/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
