[Bug 289867] Re: Really bad performace in Wine compared to ubuntu 8.04.
Hi Thanks for taking your time. I have just reinstalled Ubuntu 8.10 with the hardware drivers from ubuntu (not the EnvyNG ones that i used before. Even tho i switched to the ubuntu ones, but the probem still remained) and that solved the problem. The FPS is now at the levels it should be. [Bug 289867] [NEW] Really bad performace in 3D apps.
Public bug reported: Hi. Im using ubuntu 8.10 64 bit. I have a Nvidia EN8500GT Card. And the performance in 3D apps are really bad. I mean really, really bad. I cant even get around 30 FPS at lowest settings in CS:S. And yes, I am running in dxlevel 81. I know this isn't a Wine issue because in ubuntu 8.04 i had about 80FPS all the time! I am running the latest drivers and Wine stable. Tested wine dev 1.1.7, and the performance was even more bad, the sound were very garbled. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - Hi. [Bug 99305] Re: Microphone input doesn't work
I have the same issue in Ubuntu 8.10. I have all volumes maxed with no mute. And i hear myself from the speakers, but no program can capture it. I have tried with Sound Recorder, Steam, and teamspeak. And none of them can record anything. I have tried this with both my soundcards, 1 disabled at a time. Creative sound blaster Audigy 2 Platinum and Intel HDA. My microphone worked great in Ubuntu 8.04. -- Microphone input doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/99305 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 236270] Re: [wishlist] Create amsn package with tkdnd and Snack library included.
I agree. At least include at the Libsnack2 library so you can use the sounds. It would be good if this is included in amsn for ubuntu 8.10. Also FIX TLS! I have managed to get it working by doing this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/amsn/+bug/249534 Read my two comments. [Bug 269111] Re: [hardy] amsn doesnt play sounds
You must install libsnack2 from package manager. Then at preferences -> others. change the sound option to "use Snack library". Then you must download a skin with sounds. Now you have sound. -- [hardy] amsn doesnt play sounds https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269111 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 249534] Re: Using amsn 0.97 from ubuntu repository it ask me to download a TLS module, but then it doesn't work testing Intrepid 64-bit (no problem using version 0.97.1 compiled)
Note that I also compiled openssl from source. But that was before editing the pkgIndex.tcl file. I don't know if i had to compile it. But if it dosent work for you, then you should try it. HOWTO: Edit the file: /home/username/.amsn/plugins/tls1.50/pkgIndex.tcl Change the line: "package ifneeded tls 1.50" to "package ifneeded tls 1.5" without the " " marks. amsn now works. -- Using amsn 0.97 from ubuntu repository it ask me to download a TLS module, but then it doesn't work testing Intrepid 64-bit (no problem using version 0.97.1 compiled) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/249534 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
