[Bug 228024] Re: nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz
ok another update. In gnome Alsa Mixer, theer are bunch of checkboxes at the bottom. I unchecked IEC958 Default PCM and checked one of the two options for IEC958. It seems to mostly eliminate the buzz. I sometimes here it very faintly, and clicking on a level in gnome alsa mixer fixes it, but this is pretty rare now -- nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 228024] Re: nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz
I have found what seems to be a permanent solution. In Gnome Alsa Mixer, turn your Digital channel down all the way and the buzzing goes away and doesn't seem to come back. seems like tinkering with any of the levels work or even just clicking on the slider at all seems to have the same effect -- nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 228024] Re: nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz
I was having this same issue I installed Gnome ALSA mixer, and played with the LFE level, clocking it down and returning it back to high and it seems to have fixed the problem. -- nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 228024] Re: nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz
addendum: buzz returned, but same thing with LFE level fixed it. i am leaving LFE turned all the way down to see if that remedies it more permanently -- nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 228024] Re: nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz
Can't seem to get it to fix permanently But just tinkering with the LFE level ( up or down)fixes it instantly for a short while. , even if a stream is playing; Hope this helps with solving it -- nvidia audio - slight high pitch buzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 305498] [NEW] Nautilus will not recognize scripts as executable
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus I changed from Hardy x86 to Intrepid amd64, originally copied over my hidden folders in /home, and Nautilus is behaving oddly on two fronts in regards to shell scripts: 1. It will not load scripts that are located in ~/.gnome2/nautilus- scripts, even if they are marked executable. It does not show the Scripts menu. I currently have 23 script files in there. I originally had 9 in there under Hardy, and they all worked, bit have added more in trying to get this problem resolved. I have set the permissions both with nautilus and with chmod. 2. It will not run any of these (or any other) shell scripts if I double click on them. I have tried changing the option on the preferences screen, telling it to run them or to ask me. It ignores both of these options and simply opens them in gedit. Home is residing on its own partition, which is mounted at startup via fstab. I have reinstalled Intrepid, clearing out hidden folders (with the exception of some specific application configs, such as firefox), to no avail. I have searched google and posted in the ubuntu forums with no luck. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nautilus will not recognize scripts as executable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/305498 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
