[Bug 1816838] [NEW] Soft lockup - cpu stuck - cifs_fattr_to_inode

2019-02-20 Thread Félix C . Morency
Public bug reported:

I'm getting a lot of CPU stuck error when writing on a CIFS (SMBv3)
mount and need to reboot the machine(s) every time it happens. This
error happens when I have a lot of small processes writing small files
to the mount.

The CIFS mount options are

sec=krb5,user=$USER,cruid=$UID,multiuser,nounix,mfsymlinks,resilienthandles,vers=3.0

I'm running

[Bug 893170] [NEW] Incorrect Phonon location when used with Qt4 and CMake

2011-11-21 Thread Félix C . Morency
Public bug reported:

CMake FindQt4 module is unable to find phonon.

The CMake module tries to find phonon in the Qt4 library path

The CMake NO_DEFAULT_PATH parameter is given while looking for the

2011-11-21 Thread Félix C . Morency
@Jonathan
I tested your solution and it is not portable to Windows. Version number and
Debug/Release dll subtleties are not taken into account in the FindPhonon
script (but they are in the FindQt4 script).

Re: [Bug 185742] Re: Application crash on menu item selection

2008-08-07 Thread Félix C . Morency
Hi. The bug doesn't happen with Hardy. My guess is that there were conflicts
with the different wxWidgets library versions installed on my previous
system.

[Bug 193798] Re: [Hardy] Audio-CD is not recognised

2008-05-06 Thread Félix C . Morency
I can confirm this bug (Xubuntu 8.04 Final).

You can fix it by changing the way XFCE handles movable disk and
medias in the XFCE configuration, multimedia tab.

Use totem cdda:///dev/cdrom

You guys should fix this bug. It could be critical for new users.

[Bug 113732] Headers aren't correct in the -dev version

2007-05-09 Thread Félix C . Morency
Public bug reported:

Install sigc++-1.2-dev and try to compile anything (I tested it with
paragui 1.1.8). The header paths should be
sigc++1.2/sigc++/headername.h instead of sigc++/headername.h since
it could conflict with sigc++2.0. Also, no sigcconfig.h is provided with
the package and it is essential for building purpose.

[Bug 36014] Re: kernel can't scale cpu frequency

2006-12-21 Thread Félix C . Morency
Thank for your reply. I tried to do what you told me but:

sudo modprobe -r speedstep-centrino
FATAL: Module speedstep_centrino is in use.

so I tried sudo modprobe acpi-cpufreq and:

FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq
(/lib/modules/2.6.17-10-generic/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq
/acpi-cpufreq.ko): Device or resource busy

Any clue ? It is very nasty not to have my cpu running at its maximum
freq. I also tested the 386 kernel version but it's all the same.

I tested with these kernel and they have the problem too:

Feisty 2.6.19-* (I don't remember, but it's the last one)

I tested them on my same Edgy (I just updated the kernel).

It is strange because I remember that it was working fine few weeks ago.
Can it be something else than the kernel or is this a random kernel bug
