[Bug 174759] Re: Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash
Seems like running eclipse with this parameter makes Eclipse look more stable: # eclipse -vmargs -client I only did that due to the fact that the error is happening inside "jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so" and running with "-client" makes it use "/jre/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so". [Bug 227110] Re: Rhythmbox segfaults when using context menu in a Windows Share
Hey, I'm attaching a backtrace and a Valgrind "dump". In order to obtain those logs I had to find a way of calling rhythmbox the same way the "context menu" does and it was easy enough to find out. Turns out that rhythmbox simply runs like this "rhythmbox smb://machine-name/share-name/filename.mp3" so that's how I managed to reproduce the bug through the command line. I think that's all, If you need anything else, just ask. ** Attachment added: "rhythmbox backtrace" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14299932/gdb-rhythmbox.txt -- Rhythmbox segfaults when using context menu in a Windows Share https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 227110] [NEW] Rhythmbox segfaults when using context menu in a Windows Share
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox Hey, I'm using Hardy and the problem I'm experiencing happens with Rhythmbox version 0.11.5-0ubuntu6. Let me describe the situation: I have 2 desktops (both running Windows XP) and a notebook (running Hardy). Both desktops have a Windows Share called 'Mp3' where I store the musics I have on it. If I try to add these files in the Rhythmbox playlist by opening the application and then clicking on the menu "Music -> Import File" it works like a charm, but when I try to play the music using the "context menu" (maybe that's not the proper term, in Windows I think people call it Shell Extensions) the application tries to start but then closes almost instantly and I can see this message in /var/log/messages: kernel: [ 455.479155] rhythmbox[7117]: segfault at 0008 eip 08062f56 esp bfe3a890 error 4 I'm willing to provide more info if needed, just point me how to get it.
