[Bug 1205530] Re: qapt-deb-installer mishandles dependencies on multiarch=foreign packages

2020-10-23 Thread Frode Haugsgjerd
This also affects me,qapt-deb-installer 3.0.5-1ubuntu1 (Ubuntu Studio
20.10). Reproducible with latest google-earth-pro-
stable_current_amd64.deb

qapt-deb-installer should at a minimum print some useful info on the
terminal. All I see is:

QCommandLineParser: already having an option named "h"
QCommandLineParser: already having an option named "help-all"
QCommandLineParser: already having an option named "v"

The binary has no verbose or debug option.

[Bug 262213] [NEW] Munpack fails on multipart MIME messages

Public bug reported:

When i create and send a file split up into several emails with for example
“mpack –m 100 file.jpg [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and then try to reassemble and decode the parts with munpack, munpack extracts
the first attatchment to
/var/tmp/m-prts-username/something/1 , and writes a number in

[Bug 186216] [NEW] Downloading tv listings fails

2008-01-26 Thread Frode Haugsgjerd
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10
libxmltv-perl 0.5.49-1ubuntu
ontv 2.8.0-0ubuntu1

Both freeguide and ontv fails to download listings.
I believe the problem is in xmltv

ontv reports this error:

using config filename /home/user/.xmltv/tv_grab_no.conf
fetching channel names
no 'id' attribute in channel at /usr/share/perl5/XMLTV.pm line 2309.

freeguide doesn't seem to report anny useful errror message, it just
sits there.

Strange , i used 0.40-3 too:

config.guess depcomp libgsm NEWS ui
config.h.in INSTALL ltmain.shpo

rm -r gnome-phone-manager*
apt-get source gnome-phone-manager
What's even stranger, is that now the debian dir is there.
I had to look in my bash history to see if i was completely brain dead
yesterday,
but i did the usual apt-get source pkg;cd pkgdir;fakeroot
dpkg-buildpackage
Oh well, the important thing is that it's there now

And btw. package should depend on a newer dpkg-dev, my dpkg-shlibdeps don't
know --ignore-missing-info

2006-12-07 Thread Frode Haugsgjerd
The command prints some errors and then hangs indefinetly.
After cancelling with ctrl-c, nautilus crashes just as well as before.

I'd really like to produce a proper bactrace for you guys. I'm starting to
believe that my system is messed up some how, but I've reinstalled all of
nautilus's dependencies, and my file system is ok. I've tested my RAM with
memtest86 too. I might reinstall, but i don't like to solve problems that
way.

Anyway, shouldn't nautilus provide a sane error message instead of crashing
if something was wrong?

Re: [Bug 41780] Re: Muse fails to start and segfaults.

2006-09-30 Thread Frode Haugsgjerd
on den 27.09.2006 klokka 22:26 (+) skreiv zettberlin:
On dapper i can run muse whithout being setuid just perfectly after
setting /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq to 1024 - no seqfaults, no
 trouble at all.

Dappers kernel is built with the option CONFIG_HZ being set at 1000 at
least, 2.6.17-7-generic on edgy is configured with only 250 Hz, wich is
too low for using this trick for muse.

Correct me, if i am wrong, fact is, that muse(and rosegarden) runs on
dapper like a charm after tweaking /dev/rtc - on edgy it is forced to
use alsa-seq timer wich makes it impossible to work with loops as
 needed.

Muse runs fine setuid
