This may only be a workaround and not address the actual bug, but I removed ~/.kde/share/config/plasm* while logged in through a console only. [Bug 134310] GeForce2 Go + Nvidia driver causing system freezes
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Using the Nvidia proprietary driver causes the system to randomly freeze. The system is not responsive to any input at all. I have been successful in reproducing the freezes though by changing the orientation of the wallpaper around (centered, tiled, zoom, etc.) The open source nv drivers work fine. However, this problem does not exist in Dapper. I have the Nvidia 9631 driver installed on Dapper and have never had a problem with it freezing. [Bug 124568] Firefox does not restart after installing extensions
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: beryl After installing an extension or theme in Firefox and then clicking the Restart button, Firefox fails to restart. Running Firefox from the terminal and then installing a theme or extension produces this The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 446 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
