[Bug 432211] Re: rt2860sta driver not working with network manager
@bomagainpenguin -- Have you tried to manually configure wireless adapter using iwconfig command from a shell prompt? I have not tried Lucid yet, but that has worked for me on several other distros including different flavors of Ubuntu. Once the connection is established the first time, subsequent connections are automatically established via network manager. Not a fix, but possibly a work-around. -- rt2860sta driver not working with network manager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432211 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 445829] Re: Text on Games menu it outside of window
#8 is a hack; not a solution. The Games menu item works fine in Jaunty Netbook Remix, without a hack. This is a bug, albeit extremely minor, but none of the other OS competitors would allow this bug in a final release. -- Text on Games menu it outside of window https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445829 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 415023] Re: brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100
With a final release about 10-days away this would seem to be a major issue. Although several posters are offering hack suggestions, I have not seen a post that is really addressing the bug. None of the other competing Operating Systems would be able survive the barrage of bad media this type of bug would generate. I am testing, the latest daily builds, of both Ubuntu Netbook Remix, and Kubuntu Netbook and these releases are far from final release form. This thread is really not the forum to get up on my soapbox, but it is aggravating to read all of these hack solutions. I really would like Ubuntu to gain more momentum, but when going head-to-head with competing OSes being released within 3-months of each other, Ubuntu is not putting is best face forward. -- brightness is broken on MSI WIND U100 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/415023 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

arghhh! hit the wrong button: This is also happening with the latest updates as of 07-OCT-2009. In alacarte (System-Preferences-Main Menu), change the default icon of any launcher to have a custom icon. The icon displays correctly in the desktop-launcher with the new custom icon. After clicking on the + of the launcher that was modified, the launcher item is added to the Favorites menu. Unfortunately, the custom modification of the icon does not get saved when it got moved to Favorites. Logging in and out, restarting GDM, nor rebooting changes the display of the icon. The icons that existed when the .desktop file or .deb package was installed is the icon that shows up in the favorites menu. The expectation is that the customisation that was made in alacarte would have also changed when launcher item was added to favorites. -- Karmic A5: changed icons don't show up in Favorites https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/424822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
