[Bug 1091763] [NEW] lxc-start-ephemeral freezes

2012-12-18 Thread Gleb Peregud
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1021471 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021471

Public bug reported:

When ephemeral containers I sometimes stumble upon a a complete freeze
of all lxc script. Usually I can observe that it happens when something
goes wrong with stopping of ephemeral container - i.e. I can see a
STOPPED ephemeral container in `lxc-list` output. Any attempts to stop
it result in a following error:

gleber@first:~$ sudo lxc-destroy -n ci1-temp-1koGK9z
rm: cannot remove `//var/lib/lxc/ci1-temp-1koGK9z/rootfs': Device or resource
busy
rm: skipping `/var/lib/lxc/ci1-temp-1koGK9z/rootfs', since it's on a different
device
rm: skipping `/var/lib/lxc/ci1-temp-1koGK9z/ephemeralbind', since it's on a
different device

Attempts to start a new container just freezes:

gleber@first:$ sudo lxc-start-ephemeral -o ci1
Setting up ephemeral container...
Starting up the container...

Also I can see the following entries in dmesg:

[Bug 1090462] Re: lxc-info, lxc-stop and lxc-list doesn't work for non-root users

2012-12-17 Thread Gleb Peregud
Oops, missed the point that lxc-setcap is not recommended. Thank you for
the response!

Is it possible to get it to work using some yet-unsupported version of
the kernel? Can you point out some feature status document where I can
read about what is missing?

[Bug 879858] Re: Kernel panic after grub-install on UEFI Asus 1215B

2012-02-28 Thread Gleb Peregud
The same problem affects me. In fact this seems to be an error in kernel
itself. And it can be triggered just by running any efibootmgr command.
More details are here:

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=129331

and

https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/1/1/2

I can provide any additional information if needed.

[Bug 202179] [NEW] glibc 6 free(): invalid pointer

2008-03-14 Thread Gleb Peregud
Public bug reported:

What happened: Multiple "*** glibc detected *** xxx: free(): invalid
pointer: ..." in almost all programs

Version: Hardy Heron as of 2008-03-13
Unknown package

I've upgraded my system from Gutsy to Hardy. To do so i've changed all
occurancies of "gutsy" in /etc/apt/source.list to "hardy" and typed
"sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude full-upgrade". After this process
completed i've restared to new kernel and tried to run "sudo aptitude
full-upgrade". Output is attached.

After this i was not able to make my system work. I've tried LiveCD,
where i've chroot'ed to hd1 and tried to do anything. Almost every
command was throwing "free(): invalid pointer" errors. But when i've
tried to use /bin/sh insted of /bin/bash most of these errors
disappeared, except for downloading of packaged through "aptitude"
(hence i was not able to downgrade my system).

Then i've installed clean version of Ubuntu 7.10 Server and upgraded it
up to Hardy. The system was behaving in the same way (a lot of invalid
pointers).

Feel free to ask for more details.
