[Bug 768791] Re: isoinfo: Unable to find Joliet SVD (USB creator won't select ISO for creating boot USB)
On commit: 94e06a854788aaee3d6b271d8e91310f98269953 0.2.4 (patches unapplied) Colin Watson 2009-09-01 16:29:56 added a mechanism to verify `.iso` images with` isoinfo`. If the ISO is not correct then it doesn't add. Otherwise, it checks if the file has an `.img` extension, if it adds so. In summary, after downloading the file, if it does not detect, change the extension to `.img`. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/768791 Title: isoinfo: Unable to find Joliet SVD (USB creator won't select ISO for creating boot USB) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cdrkit/+bug/768791/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1726548] Re: Windows resized after resume
Some version of that bug exists on Ubuntu 20.04 as well. I have a 4k monitor and I have set the display scale to 200% in the Ubuntu Settings. After the monitor sleep/resume, the Google Chrome window scaling is wrong. The size of the window is the same as it was before but the contents is drawn with 100% scaling. I mean the fonts are very small. After the window is moved, the scaling is corrected to 200%. I even don't have to restart the Chrome, just a simple move or resize window operation fixes the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1726548 Title: Windows resized after resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-gnome-meta/+bug/1726548/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1879968] Re: copy/paste still sometimes fails in LibreOffice on mutter 3.36.2
I wanted to let you know that I am experiencing very similar behaviour on Kubuntu 20.04 after updating from 18.04 to 20.04, and I have my doubts that it's related to Mutter. For now I can confirm that I have an issue on KDE Plasma - to be able to paste (middle mouse click, Ctrl+C/V or Copy/Paste context menu options), I have to copy the same text twice, in one of the ways described below: 1. select text (ie. double click it), then click anywhere to lose focus from it, then select exactly the same text again - then I am able to paste with middle mouse button; or: 2. when text is already selected, I need to hit Ctrl+C twice, then I can paste it with Ctrl+V. Above is suspiciously close to what Davide mentioned above in comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1879968/comments/3 and that's why I decided my problem is probably related. My suspicion - this may be related to some application I use. On KDE this issue manifests almost right away after logging in now, but there's a short period after logging in, when it doesn't happen yet. Maybe I've got something in autostart that triggers it. On other environments (Openbox, LXQT and Gnome Shell) I did not experience this problem, however I did test only for a minute. My plan for next few days is to switch to LXQT and wait for the problem to happen again, and let you know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1879968 Title: copy/paste still sometimes fails in LibreOffice on mutter 3.36.2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/1879968/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1825544] Re: Switch User menu item gone after upgrade to Ubuntu 19.04
I got this problem after upgrading Ubuntu 18.04 to 19.04. My system was initially installed as KUbuntu, later I've installed Cinnamon so it's a mix of many packages. However, I couldn't change user while logging so I needed to use ctrl+alt+F* and start new session as specified user, then start X server. `startx cinnamon` somehow worked, but there were some issues while running, so I've been googling a bit and this is what I've done: - added "Session=cinnamon" to ~/.dmrc - added `exec cinnamon-session` to ~/xinitrc - enabled automatic and timed login like mentioned in https://askubuntu.com/a/1140036 - run `sudo service gdm3 restart` as mentioned in https://askubuntu.com/q/1136457 - disabled automatic and timed login - reboot After that I have logon screen with ability to choose user and I can properly log in. When I try to switch users and login again, I got "could not acquire name on session bus" error, but I can switch to session where I'm still logged in. Since it's a different entry then in this post I opened a new bug report in #1659684 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/499773 Title: Race with ureadahead can mean that /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs appears in /etc/mtab To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mountall/+bug/499773/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1659684] Re: Leftover mount in /etc/mtab pointing to /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs/tracing after some runs of apt dist-upgrade followed by a reboot
Just to note, 'mountall' also clears that mtab entry, but it also nukes contents of /tmp in the process, which might not be good if someone is running Passenger, which apparently keeps socket files in there (i.e. /tmp/passenger.1.0.xxx/generation-0/request ) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1659684 Title: Leftover mount in /etc/mtab pointing to /var/lib/ureadahead/debugfs/tracing after some runs of apt dist- upgrade followed by a reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ureadahead/+bug/1659684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1452830] Re: Keyboard and mouse not working after update to 15.04
Hi, I haven't used Ubu for some time and now I am back and it seems I was wrong in that the bug was fixed. It just started showing up less for some time. I dug into the problem and it seems that USB ports are being suspended. I found that laptop-mode tools do this when one is on battery, but it happened to me when I has AC connected (sometimes, and sometimes not). KennoVO, 3.16 from both trusty 14.04.2 and utopic is also affected. And there's also only nvidia 331 available. @Adam Koczur (sbv): nice, that is a step in the right direction! However, I have to point out that pretty much everyone who is affected by this bug is running the 3.13 kernel that comes with Trusty; those who are running newer (non-LTS) kernels all have newer nvidia drivers (except the ones with legacy graphic cards, but that's a minority; nvidia's legacy support goes quite a way back...)
