Nothing has changed up to Ubuntu 19.10 - the man pages seem to have not been touched since 2009. [Bug 1581088] Re: Middle mouse (wheel-click) button stopped working after upgrade to 16.04
I don't want to hijack a bug report (see my test at #22), but I strongly believe that this should not be offloaded to "a buggy BIOS". I am experiencing the same behaviour on quite a different system, it is (obviously?) a regression since it worked (on the same system) under 15.10 and previous versions. I agree that my BIOS is rather old but the notion "well, bad luck, you will have to buy a new motherboard to be able to use your mouse like before" gives me the creeps. I hope I am overreacting :-) For completeness, my BIOS-Version BIOS Information Vendor: American Megatrends Inc. [Bug 993499] Re: possibly arbitrary use of the tag "Candidate for deletion"
I haven't checked them against those referenced at the current "index page for all encrypted disk and filesystem guides" https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EncryptedFilesystems, but at least the last one (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EncryptedRootonDapperUsingLUKS) is referenced there under "Current ubuntu release, item 3". [Bug 1071788] [NEW] ubuntu-bug doesn't honor -w when called via gksudo
Public bug reported: When calling ubuntu-bug -w it shows a dialog ("After closing this message please click on an application window to report a problem about it.") and expects you to click on some window to determine the process/package against which the bug should be reported. During a running upgrade I tried that and got: "that window doesn't belong to you" (correct, it was owned by root :-)) Calling gksudo ubuntu-bug -w results in the standard dialog ("what kind of problem do you want to report?") instead of the one initiated by the -w.
