[Bug 714543] [NEW] Eye of Gnome doesn't update titlebar while changing images.
Public bug reported: I took some screen shots for a bug report and noticed that when using Page Down (or even the Next button in the app) to scroll through the images, the title bar doesn't get updated to report the file name of the image being viewed. I thought this was an easy bug to fix so I tried to download the source code of the application. After a while of being familiar with GTK, I found the function where the code should be changed. Even after using the set_title function on the window, the title bar doesn't get updated so I thought that this was a window manager bug and not a bug from eog. [Bug 711877] Re: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly.
Another example, this time with the Take Screenshot application. You can read Take Screenshot but if you hover the mouse to the top top the string gets erased as you can see from the next screenshot. ** Attachment added: Top menu bar when user presses the print screen key. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/711877/+attachment/1830363/+files/Screenshot-3.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711877 Title: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 711877] Re: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly.
As you can see, you can only read Take Scr and then the File menu item appears. I suppose the correct behaviour would be to completely remove the title string and place File in the beginning of the bar. ** Attachment added: Top menu bar when mouse is hovered after uses presses Print Screen key. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/711877/+attachment/1830364/+files/Screenshot-4.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711877 Title: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 711877] Re: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly.
Yes, one is about Firefox, the other is about ALL other apps, since the menu bar of each app gets on top of a portion of the title bar of that app in the top bar like you can see in the screenshots. The example was just for Firefox and Take Screenshot but it works with any other app. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711877 Title: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 712971] [NEW] Closing a Firefox tab that uses Flash, sometimes breaks other tabs that use Flash.
Public bug reported: Sometimes, when I close a tab that uses Flash, it breaks all other tabs that use Flash. For example, I was listening to a track at Soundcloud and I closed a tab that was using Flash and the song stopped playing and all interaction with the page through Flash was broken. This has been happening a lot since the beginning of alpha-1. I'm using Firefox 4.0 Beta 10 and I've updated to the latest packages of alpha-2. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/712971 Title: Closing a Firefox tab that uses Flash, sometimes breaks other tabs that use Flash. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 711787] [NEW] Unable to remove some icons from the Unity bar.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity I have two icons in the Unity bar that I can't remove. [Bug 711796] [NEW] I can't search applications in Unity search text box.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity If I click the Ubuntu icon on the upper left corner I get a big black window with a search box. I assumed that if I press ESC the window would be dismissed, but it doesn't, it types a square with a 001B code. I also assumed that clicking again the Ubuntu icon would dismiss the window, and it also doesn't. [Bug 711814] [NEW] Firefox displays menu bar inside the window instead of top Unity bar.

[Bug 711877] [NEW] Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity If you have Firefox maximized and you move your mouse pointer to the top bar, the title disappears. (I don't know if this is the supposed behaviour). If you don't have Firefox maximized and you move the pointer to the top bar, the title Firefox 4.0 Beta 10 Web Browser changes to Firefox 4 with a gradient starting just before the 4 and all the rest of the strings disappears. If you open Terminal and move your mouse to the Unity top menu bar it displays the word Terminal with a gradient starting in al and then Terminal's menu bar starts. I suppose that the top bar should only display the menu bar or at least, don't overwrite the title with the menu bar. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/711877 Title: Unity top menu bar doesn't display correctly. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm just reporting this because a colleague of mine just told me that the first thing he does when he installs Ubuntu is change the icons through gconf-editor, which simply doesn't make sense for such a basic thing in my opinion. [Bug 708400] [NEW] gdm doesn't work when I boot the laptop
Public bug reported: I don't know what causes this behaviour. When I boot the laptop, gdm doesn't work. I get a very small (0.5cm) purple horizontal bar at the top of the screen.
