[Bug 661206] Re: Wireless does not reconnect when resuming on EEEPC 901
Seems to be related to conflict between ralink drivers and -- something in the kernel? Work around (mostly) by adding the following to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf blacklist rt2800pci blacklist rt2800usb blacklist rt2x00lib blacklist rt2x00pci blacklist rt2x00usb I also downloaded and compiled the current version of rt2860 drivers based on instructions I found here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9988272 See post #3. Not sure it was needed, but I did it. Works OK, but sometimes when I am out of wireless network range for a long time (like an hour) network-manager greys out and a red exclamation mark appears. When returning to a network, the only way I have found to reconnect is reboot. No idea if this is a driver issue or a n-m issue or something else. -- Wireless does not reconnect when resuming on EEEPC 901 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661206 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 661206] [NEW] Wireless does not reconnect when resuming on EEEPC 901
Public bug reported: 1) install maverick UNE on eeepc 901 2) upgrade all packages to current version 3) put machine to sleep 4) resume Expected action, wireless reconnects automatically or I can reconnect manually Actual action, 20% of time I can reconnect if I have not changed networks The rest of the time, the network either spins without connecting (60%) or locks up everything (20%). My fix is to reboot. I probably could reset something, but am stilling finding my way around the Unity interface and reboot works. I will trigger this when I have a minute and add the dmesg output. [Bug 213327] [NEW] Filters not processing correctly on Exchange inbox
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Ubuntu 7.10 Evolution 2.12.1-0ubuntu1.1 0 I have a number of messages filters to process on POP 3 and Exchange inboxes. Most look at the sender and move to an appropriate local folder. Pop3 works fine, but the Exchange process does not. Expected to happen: Messages in both inboxes are processed and moved to local folders as appropriate. Actually happened: POP messages processed as expected. If the "Apply filters to new messages..." checkbox is set on the Exchange account, the following happens: 1. the Exchange inbox on the sidebar shows a count of unread messages, 2. the Exchange message summary does NOT show the new message headers unless 3. Evolution is restarted. Then the current messages appear, but not the next set. Restart is required. 4. In either event, the filters are not processed unless the message headers are selected and Ctl-Y is used. Alternately, I can uncheck "Apply filters to new messages..." and the inbound messages are displayed in Inbox folder. Select and Ctl-Y can still be used to process the filters.
