[Bug 748615] Re: Login fails on Webmin
I discovered that connecting as sudoers works if the user is directly referred in the sudoers file. Normally, users are sudoers by being member of the group admin. You can test this, just by copying the line: %admin ALL=(ALL) ALL and replace %admin by the user id. of course, this does not constitute a solution but I thought this would help troubleshooting. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748615 Title: Login fails on Webmin To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sudo/+bug/748615/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I dowdloaded and created a DVD disk for booting and that just did not auto-boot; also, tried ca USB memory stick install, and the system wont boot from the memory stick, although all the files were readable on memory stick. One surprising point ... [Bug 311961] Re: 8.10 system-config-printer lost SMB connection selection
You need to install the package smbclient to have the option Windows Printer via SAMBA back. It probably have been remove with samba-common due to dependency. I do not know, however, which package you should install to get Windows printer with samba4. I guess it would be samba4-clients. RE: [Bug 294901] Re: Nautilus search feature won ’t let you choose a network location
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 42889 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/42889 Just like you, I saw the bug to which you referred. It simply doesn't correspond to what I experienced. Searching from a network location is working. The problem is that if you want to refine your search by adding some key words, the search is then perform on you home folder. Form there, if I want to force the location by adding criteria, the network location is missing from the list and gvfs seems to be disabled from the folder selection dialog box. The way I see it, it's more the integration with the gui that is missing not the actual searching. [Bug 294901] [NEW] Nautilus search feature won ’t let you choose a network location
Public bug reported: I'm having this problem with Nautilus 2.24.1 in Ubuntu 8.10. Here is how to reproduce the problem: Open your home folder in Nautilus and press ctrl-f. The search text box appears. Enter some text and press enter. Now you have the possibility to change the location. If you look in the list, you won’t find any of your bookmarked network locations. Go ahead and select other. Your network place doesn't show in the bookmark section. I should mention that it is possible to search a network location by navigating to that location and then pressing ctrl-f. If you press the reload button, though, the search will now take place in you home folder. I should also add that I was able to select a network location as a search criteria in Hardy . [Bug 19552] Re: Crash after firefox is opening a new window (when it should open the new URL in the same window/tab)
Same here. Firefox 1.5.0.4 on Dapper Drake 6.06 LTS. Nvidia drivers are installed too, and the problem is 100% reproducable.
