[Bug 1742626] Re: Unstable LTS kernel 4.13.0-26
Absolutely! I got errors on my Desktop PC with Nvidia GPU during the upgrade when it was building modules for the graphics card. Hi Alex, sorry I have bot been back, well I have only been able to test inkscape in ubuntu 10.04 LTS, which is the one I use, all seems to work well with the version in the ubuntu repos, but the only way to test other inkscape versions (newer that is) I would have to upgrade my whole system, if I try to just install the deb package from newer ubuntu versions I get dependency errors, so testing newer ones is practically impossible. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875469 Title: Text in Inkscape 0.48.2 not rendering To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/875469/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 373916] [NEW] Ubuntu 8.04 temporary freezes
Public bug reported: Since Last Night on Thursday May 7 my ubuntu box has been experiencing some random freezes, these happen very often (almost every 1-2 minutes). Mouse and keyboard stop responding, causing a temporary hang that lasts about 20-30 seconds then it all comes back. On my desktop I have conky and I can see when everything freezes or when the culprit process comes because I can see conky stopping then suddenly the mouse freezes about 10 seconds later without moving then it comes back to life. But this happens every about 1 minute, as I'm writing this report it's happenning a lot more often, almost every 20 seconds, I just continue typing, because I know all the keystrokes will just pop out when it comes back from the temporary hang. I don't know if this is caused by a new upgrade in the last days, but it's just driving me nuts. I upgraded kernel from 2.6.24-23 to 2.6.24-24 tried booting last kernel but still had same issues. Seems like an xorg problem though. In conky I can't see what is going on since it just freezes without showing me the culprit, I also tried top command to see if that would show me which or what was going on, nothing. [Bug 298584] Re: Cannot activate Nvidia driver
Not that I'm aware of. I use Hardy at the moment, and activating the drivers with the default ones found on the repos will be older than the ones downloaded by the ENVY application created by Alberto Milone. It even chooses from 3 different drivers automatically depending on your Nvidia card. To get it make sure you enable universe an multiverse in repos. Then if you are in GNOME do: sudo apt-get install envyng-gtk or if in KDE: sudo apt-get install envyng-qt then run the application, should be in system tools or open a shell and type sudo envyng-gtk or envyng-qt (depending which of both you installed), when it opens up select Nvidia and make sure automatic hardware selection is activated, let it do it's thing, will take about 3 minutes reboot and let's hope you've got Nvidia drivers up and running. When you update your kernel you will have to do this again (every kernel upgrade), so don't remove it. the non graphical way of running envy is sudo envyng -t It's good to know if for example you upgrade your kernel in a future and system fails to boot in graphical mode. I removed them and tested with Feisty's swh- plugins_0.4.14-1.1_i386.deb which I previously used with no problems before upgrading to Hardy, and now also get this horrible noise with exported files with those plugins. I got from debian the "latest stable" swh-plugins_0.4.13-1_i386.deb and it all works well now. To test you can create a track, add a multiband eq (Steve Harris) and when playing will sound good, but when exported you will ge a noisy clip. [Bug 202208] Re: [Hardy] Playing OpenGL games causes a refresh rate error

[Bug 219771] Re: Using equalizer makes audacious silent (Hardy)
Same thing here, I also thought changing to pulseaudio in audacious would fix it. Pulse audio sounds great, but when eq is enabled and start tweaking sound drops almost 6 - 10 db -- Using equalizer makes audacious silent (Hardy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219771 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
