[Bug 354183] Re: devede stops immediately with conversion failed error
This bug in NOT fixed as stated! Where are the QC techs that were assigned to this ticket? Can we get this resolved? Adding the PPA for jon-severinsson-ffmpeg is NOT an alternative because it breaks ffmpeg for the whole system and other applications that depend on gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg (I.E Minitube). Can we get some intelligence assigned to this ticket so that it is IN FACT resolved and not just stated as being fixed - from the notes, its been broken for 3 years – REDICULOUS! Im running a fully patched version on 12.04. The rest of the information in the ticket is relevant to my setup, so no need to spew more logs or error data! My recomendation is to get Jon Severisson to package up a propor Ubuntu package that the rest of us can use. [Bug 787055] Re: Bridge network device showing lots of dropped packets
Hi Chris, Yes, well, this issue was reported a year ago and there has been no interest from Canonical on releasing a fix or even acknowledging that there was an issue at all despite other having the same problem and even reporting it here. Until Canonical understands the needs of the enterprise community and started paying attention to issues that come up, its going to be a long time before they are a billion dollar company or even close to it. That said, we have moved our infrastructure to RHEL where we get much snappier support; even from the community members. Sorry it didn't work out; however, we still have a few desktops running Kubuntu, but seems like even that version doesn't mean too much to Canonical these days... Pitty... You can close out this ticket - unless the others that reported the issue have moved on too. Might want to do your best to keep what existing customers you have left. Good day! [Bug 876461] Re: Under KDE w/ qtcurve tooltips are just black rectangles
Have an addition to my previous comment... Yeah, it worked for Openoffice, however, it also changes all the tool tip colors throughout KDE. So, for example, if I change the tool tip background to, say white, then every tool tip in KDE is white which looks really bad; especially if you hover over icons in ksystemsettings and get a huge white block with black chars... Really terrible to look at. Anyway to change the setting just for Openoffice? Thanks! [Bug 852873] Re: GLX is broken for several commercial OpenGL games
It does seem odd that its been confirmed, but not assigned to anyone. Unfortunately, for me, this seems typical as I have other confirmed bugs in from the beginning of the year and nothing has been done. The work around seems to work for me as it only seems to affect 32bit games (Ironically, ID based games only (Doom3, ETQW, Etc...) :-D), but 64 bit games seems to work fine as does desktop composting. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/852873 Title: GLX is broken for several commercial OpenGL games To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/852873/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 852873] Re: GLX is broken for several commercial OpenGL games
I heard that if you install the package from Nvidia manually, it will resolve the issue. Didn't try x-updates or xorg-edgers, however. Might want to try that first. I do know that on other distro's this issue is not present with Gnome 3 or KDE 4.7.x, so its more than likely a packaging issue with Ubuntu.
