[Bug 780757] Re: Dell Latitude E6420 fails to reboot
Yes - it works. But reboot=pci sucks. I have protected my hdd with a password and set the bios option to not ask for the password on reboot.. With reboot=warm everything worked fine (on my old dell laptop).. Now I have to enter the password everytime I reboot :( -> reboot=pci is just an ugly workaround.. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780757 Title: Dell Latitude E6420 fails to reboot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/780757/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 661016] [NEW] Network-manager should prefer 802.11a
Public bug reported: It seems that network-manager (or maybe network-manager-kde) just selects an AP by the Strength and do not take the frequency in account. We have a large, crowded wireless network with APs supporting both 802.11a/n and 802.11b/g/n. Sitting directly beneath the AP (output of nm-tool): *h_da: Infra, 00:26:3E:14:72:02, Freq 2437 MHz, Rate 54 Mb/s, Strength 100 WPA WPA2 Enterprise h_da:Infra, 00:26:3E:14:72:03, Freq 5180 MHz, Rate 54 Mb/s, Strength 85 WPA WPA2 Enterprise As you can see the 802.11b/g/n band gets selected. But 802.11a/n would be much better (less clients, less noise, more available frequencies thus less overlapping). It is not an option to enter the APs by BSSID to prefer 802.11a/n - our university has many APs installed.. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Network-manager should prefer 802.11a https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 426692] [NEW] plasma-widget-networkmanagement and dot1x: segfault in libknmui
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: plasma-widget-networkmanagement I tried to connect to a 802.1x secured ethernet and plasma-widget- networkmanagement segfaults each time I select the connection. Steps: created a new wired profile default for everything except 802.1x Security. For 802.1x I tried several combinations (with or without user/pass, peap, ttls etc.). Left click on systray icon, select connection and plasma-widget- networkmanagement segfaults. Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x7267db9d in WirelessSecuritySettingWidget::WirelessSecuritySettingWidget(Knm::Connection*, Solid::Control::WirelessNetworkInterface*, Solid::Control::AccessPoint*, QWidget*) () from /usr/lib/libknmui.so.4 (gdb) bt #0 0x7267db9d in WirelessSecuritySettingWidget::WirelessSecuritySettingWidget(Knm::Connection*, Solid::Control::WirelessNetworkInterface*, Solid::Control::AccessPoint*, QWidget*) () from /usr/lib/libknmui.so.4 #1 0x72692d80 in ConnectionSecretsJob::doAskUser() () from /usr/lib/libknmui.so.4 #2 0x72693596 in ConnectionSecretsJob::doWork() () from /usr/lib/libknmui.so.4 #3 0x72f0 in ConnectionSecretsJob::qt_metacall(QMetaObject::Call, int, void**) () from /usr/lib/libknmui.so.4 #4 0x7571cd2c in QMetaObject::activate(QObject*, int, int, void**) () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #5 0x75721d6f in ?? [Bug 404217] Re: login fails on ubuntu 9.10 alpha3
I've got the same problem with Ubuntu 9.10 alpha4. Tracing the network with wireshark reveals that no packet is sent. I assume that mapi is broken - both mapiprofile and openchangeclient core dumps: Program received signal SIGABRT, Aborted. 0x75e844e5 in raise () from /lib/libc.so.6 (gdb) bt #0 0x75e844e5 in raise () from /lib/libc.so.6 #1 0x75e87f80 in abort () from /lib/libc.so.6 #2 0x76708375 in _talloc_zero () from /usr/lib/libldb.so.0 #3 0x767033c0 in tevent_context_init_byname () from /usr/lib/libldb.so.0 #4 0x77af791d in OpenProfileStore () from /usr/lib/libmapi.so.0 #5 0x77b078ae in MAPIInitialize () from /usr/lib/libmapi.so.0 #6 0x00409088 in ?? [Bug 319860] Re: Update manager missing a public key?
Important: Over the next few weeks, Launchpad is generating keys for each PPA. While this is happening, one of two things will happen when you install software from a PPA: * Ubuntu will warn you that the package is unsigned. * Ubuntu will tell you that it can't verify the key used to sign the package. Visit the PPA's overview page to confirm the key's fingerprint and then continue if you are happy that the package is correctly signed. https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA#Adding%20a%20PPA%20to%20your%20Ubuntu%20repositories -- Update manager missing a public key? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/319860 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
