[Bug 1572321] Re: owncloud network access is disabled
Hi Carlo, thanks very much for posting that fix, QT5.6 in /opt works perfectly for us. We just modified the startup apps entry to include the path so ownCloud starts as needed without user intervention. Does anyone know if Ubuntu is going to address this qt5 bug in its repos? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1572321 Title: owncloud network access is disabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/owncloud-client/+bug/1572321/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1572321] Re: owncloud network access is disabled
This is still constant pain for me and is reported as an error based on building from a bug in QT5 shipping with 16.04. After every suspend on all 16.04 laptops we use, owncloud client refuses to find the reappearance of the network connection. Quit app and restart before it will find it. I have collated a few of the reports here which may help identify the key patches needed, but at the moment the solution for the build does not seem to be in place. See here: https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues/3888 Last comments: (For OS X and Windows, we add the patch https://github.com/owncloud/client/blob/master/admin/qt/patches/0012 -Make-sure-networkAccessibilityChanged-is-emitted.patch which did not make it into Qt 5.1.1 release) and here: https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues/4839 with a comment of: $SOMEONE needs to get Ubuntu to update their Qt packages to check if there is a need to add any of the patches listed in https://github.com/owncloud/client/tree/2.2/admin/qt/patches And also here: https://github.com/owncloud/client/issues/4720 Comment: Could be that we also need https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/146115/ .. maybe you want to try that out and report back. (On Windows, OS X we don't ship the Qt bearer plugins, that's why this patch is not needed) Might help identify the patches!

[Bug 579808] Re: Update image file with editing operations (store backups elsewhere)
Personally I prefer the leave my files, save an alternate copy if I want it, perhaps with an alternate location. This sort of follows things like Light Room, F-Spot and Picasa which I suspect are managers most people come from. From our use we like to have an original shared resource that is unchanged and save out to our own library our modified files versions. That means we can have links to a common image and our own changes are consistent and preserved. As more and more photos are kept by individuals, families and businesses on external drives, NAS or servers I think something that works in this sort of way in a distributed multi-device, multi-user environment would be best. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel General Gnome session works fine, all standard X stuff seems to work well. [Bug 124348] Re: Logging off causes error on client
I have this on Gutsy still, whatever Windows version or protocol, screen etc. As soon as you exit the client after a connection has been made the error is 100% repeatable. Error reported currently is 'autoselected keyboard map en-gb' have seen others in forum with issues relating to screen resolution eg 16bit not 24bit etc. When I manually select in the TS client the keyboard language code en-gb then the error goes. I think this is a bug in the client as it is not picking up on the autoselected language, protocol, screen etc. It autoselects it appropriately but doesnt pass this through for some reason. Certainly annoying and a continuing pain but I guess not 'critical' yet it would be nice if this was finally more polished in Hardy after Feisty and Gutsy having done me to distraction at times ;-) K -- Logging off causes error on client https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/124348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
