[Bug 1904079] Re: acute+C on US international with dead keys layout should produce cedilla sign (ç)
Well, that doesn't happen on mine, except for the Chromium browser. I have Telegram desktop installed as a snap but ç works fine. The same happens on the other apps also. Usually you need to have you keyboard layout configured as "English US- Int with dead keys" in order for that to work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1904079 Title: acute+C on US international with dead keys layout should produce cedilla sign (ç) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1904079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1904079] [NEW] Wrong keyboard behavior only inside chromium snap
Public bug reported: I've been facing a really strange bug in Ubuntu 20.04. My laptop has Brazilian Portuguese layout (ABNT-2) but my external keyboard has a US layout. So, in order to get a cedilla sign <ç> on those keyboards, I have to change layout to US International with Dead Keys and use an acute accent plus C <'+c>. Everything works fine unless inside the Chromium (installed from snap). In this case I get an accented c <ć>. So, I don't have a way to get a ç inside chrome, which is used in Portuguese. I'm using chromium from stable channel. [Bug 1216186] Re: Elantech touchpad moves and clicks by itself
It's not a regression since it has always happened. This has happened since the begining on the first instalation with Ubuntu 13.04 and still persists on 13.10. I recently realized a very strange behavior which made me more confused than ever: If I reboot the system, it suddenly start's to work properly. But the first cold boot always shows the problem. Usually I'd say it's a hardware problem, but I discarted that since the machine is in dual boot with Windows and everything works fine under it. I'm clueless. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1216186 Title: Elantech touchpad moves and clicks by itself To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1216186/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1216186] [NEW] Elantech touchpad moves and clicks by itself
Public bug reported: I am facing a very annoying hardware problem. It's so bad tha it makes hard even to report it: the mouse (touchpad in this case) keeps moving to the left side of the screen and clicking by itself. So all the programs on the Unity sidebar are keept being opened until the system gets without memory and very slow. Since the hardware is a relatively new ultrabook, I tought a newer kernel could had solve this issue, so I upgrade to saucy. Everything worked well after the first boot which followed the upgrade but after rebooting again the same thing started to happen. That's the device ID given by lsusb command: Bus 003 Device 003: ID 04f3:0035 Elan Microelectronics Corp. I also thought it could be a problem with the touchscreen, but dmesg gives me a lot of error messages for the touchpad, with seems to be recognized as a psmouse. Installing gpointing-device-settings package and openning the config tool shows no touchpad related options. [Bug 1064118] [NEW] Problem to access DVD drive
Public bug reported: I have a very strange problem. I can't read audio on my DVD drive. When I try to do it, it music starts to stumble and flick and I just can't play the file well. The strange thing is that it happens only with audio and not with other data files. The problem happens on every player: vlc, totem, mplayer, audacious, etc. It seems kernel can't access drive's cache, or something like that. I had the same problem on Windows 7 but a firmware update solved the problem which is very weird though. [Bug 692303] [NEW] OCRfeeder crashes the system by using all RAM memory available
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ocrfeeder I just can't use ocrfeeder. I tried importing a PDF file and a folder and on both cases, ocrfeeder fails by getting all the memory available. I have a 4gb system, which had aprox. 3,5 gig free before ocrfeed trying to import stuff, an none after it. The program, and the whole system gets, very, very slow. That turns the program unusable. I've tried ocrfeeder 0.6.6-3 on ubuntu maverick. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ecryptfs-utils I don`t know if it is my buggy GMA 500 video chipset over the netbook- launcher but the fact is that other account logins created after the installation can`t see their desktop. a guess is that this can be because of the encrypted home partition made on install. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm GDM automatically sets the same background as the last user who has changed it's wallpaper. [Bug 681850] [NEW] dpkg is not reinstalling some configuration files properly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dpkg I was trying to solve some problem on GDM and I deleted the file /etc/gdm/gdm.schemes Afterwards I reinstall the gdm package with: # aptitude reinstall gdm but the file, witch is actually inside the deb package is not reinstalled. It only works if I type: # dpkg -x /var/cache/apt/archives/gdm_2.30.0-0ubuntu5_i386.deb / I tried with: # apt-get install gdm --reinstall and this didn't place the file in the right place. If this happen with other packages too, that's a very serious bug. Aptitude or dpkg must decompress all the files in the package properly.
