[Bug 682492] Re: Evince: Save Settings as default doesn't work

[Bug 676917] Re: Trash does not recognize .Trash-1000 on root
This is still an issue with oneiric (gvfs 1.10.0-0ubuntu1), and I would say a serious one. I use a large ext4 partiton for storing multimedia files. When I delete a file via gvfs (thunar, gvfs-trash ...) it will be moved to PARTITION-ROOT/.Trash-$USERID (as it should), but it does not show up in my trash-bin. That means it will not be deleted when emptying the trash. So, if you don't delete those files manually your free disk space keeps shrinking until you completely filled up your partition. Steps to reproduce: 1. create file in a directory which is on a different partition then $HOME 2. gvfs-trash the file (be sure to have write permission on the partitions root directory) 3. gvfs-ls trash:// does not show it Btw. list-trash/empty-trash from the trash-cli package lists and empties the trash correctly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/676917 Title: Trash does not recognize .Trash-1000 on root To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/676917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 799312] [NEW] /etc/hdparm.conf works only for /dev/sdX and not for their symlinks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hdparm Setting hard drive parameters in /etc/hdparm.conf finally seems to work since Ubuntu 10.10, if (and only if) you specify the drives like /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, . Since the /dev tree is build dynamically by udev, you can't be sure, that the parameters specified this way are applied to the correct hd. However it is would be safe to use the correspondent symlinks in /dev/disk/by-uuid or /dev/disk/by-id to define your hd. A partial fix was given in #222458. But since then the hdparm script files have changed and it worked only with symlinks to the drive itself and not with symlinks to its partitions (like in /dev/disk/by-uuid). I attach a patch based on #222458, which should fix the above described problems for 10.10 and 11.04. ** Affects: hdparm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799312 Title: /etc/hdparm.conf works only for /dev/sdX and not for their symlinks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hdparm/+bug/799312/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 733578] Re: lightning's task-list picks wrong colors from gtk-theme
Simon, don't bother fixing this in the theme. Thunderbird does the right thing here. It chooses the system menu color (have a look under System Colors in https://developer.mozilla.org/en/CSS/color_value) as defined in task-tree.css, which is in our case white. So you can either switch the theme menu color to a dark color (which isn't a real option since we use dark menu backgrounds) or you can make Thunderbird to choose another color for displaying tasks. I agree that shipping our own task-tree.css is an overkill. Maybe one can override those values with the correct entries in userchrome.css or usercontent.css. Otherwise it has to be fixed upstream. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733578 Title: lightning's task-list picks wrong colors from gtk-theme -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 733578] Re: lightning's task-list picks wrong colors from gtk-theme
As pointed out under http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/in_lightning_how_to_change_the_text_color_for_task_lists respectively this problem occurs, because they choose the MenuText color for tasks in calendar-tasks-tree.css, which is for dark menu themes white (or a light color). To fix this, one should choose e.g. WindowText as color in the sections: .calendar-task-tree > treechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(completed) .calendar-task-tree > treechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(future) of calendar-tasks-tree.css. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733578 Title: lightning's task-list picks wrong colors from gtk-theme -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

For me the hack is still necessary: Xubuntu 10.10. I had the same problem. Check if the 'mysql-server-core' package is installed. Installing this package solved the problem for me. [Bug 601897] [NEW] Retention policy "Delete all but the most recent xx messages" deletes most recent messages.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird I'm using thunderbird 3.0.4+nobinonly-0ubuntu4 on an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x86_64 machine as feed reader. For some feeds I would like to use the retention policy "Delete all but the most recent xx messages". Setting xx to let's say ten, causes thunderbird to delete all but ten messages in a feed folder. But the remaining messages are not the most recent ones but some in the middle of the time line. Get the same behavior for icedove 3.0.5 on debian unstable. ** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Retention policy "Delete all but the most recent xx messages" deletes most recent messages. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/601897 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
