[Bug 1293010] [NEW] Lose HP LaserJet every time system reboots
Public bug reported: I have a HP LaserJet P1102 and it worked just fine in 13.04 but when I upgraded it 13.10 (both upgrade and fresh install) it stopped keeping the details correctly after a reboot. Just upgraded to 14.04 same problem. It will print just fine if I delete the printer, and reinstall (using the pre-installed drivers). BUt this must be done every single time the system reboots. ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1293010 Title: Lose HP LaserJet every time system reboots To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/1293010/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 914154] [NEW] Ad banner points to non-canonical maintained software when told to show only those that are canonical maintained
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 11.10 Open Ubuntu Software Centre. Click "View" in menu bar, then "Canonical Maintained Software" this hides the paid software and other software titles not officially maintained by Ubuntu. The ad still shows "Trauma" in it's rotation and allows you to click on it through to it's summary page and allows you to purchase. When you go back to the main home screen by clicking "All Software" from the Trauma summary page, the non canonical software is still hidden. This differs to how it would work if you were to search for "Braid" while showing only canonical software. The search suggests it shows you the 1 non-canonical maintained software that matches the search. Advancing to Braid's summary page from here, and then clicking "All Software" now shows all software, not just that from Canonical. [Bug 840176] Re: no sidebar novigation anywhere except for home page.
Hi Matthew, Yes I beleive it should be persistent in the entire experience. why? because that's what we've come to expect of an online store experience. Silly I know. But we've made a lot of other design decisions based on this same mentality. You may find it a stuggle to understand why I beleive this is useful. But I find it a struggle to see why having it would detract from the experience you describe. By implementing, you lose nothing, but I gain everything. Selfish? yeah probably. This is purely speculation, but judging from my own experiences, and from reading these comments. I have no programing abilities what so ever. Just an End User who wants this system to take off as soon as possible. Doing anything to alter the startup time, like mounting multiple drives. having many more, or many less programs in your startup or installing large updates tends to cause this corruption. [Bug 555549] [NEW] About Ubuntu and Help take a very long time to start
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp Seems as though About Ubuntu and Help use Firefox. This makes for a very long opening time. An about box simular to the Gnome about Box would be more favourable. As it loads instantly and has all the relevent information plus links etc. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: yelp 2.30.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-19.28-generic 2.6.32.10+drm33.1 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-19-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Apr 5 18:41:41 2010 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/yelp InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Alpha i386 (20100217) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_NZ.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: yelp ** Affects: yelp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 lucid -- About Ubuntu and Help take a very long time to start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/49 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 552325] [NEW] Chapter titles show by default on loading new movie
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem Whenever I watch a movie in "movie player" it plays "chapter 1" etc in place of subtitles. It can be turned off in the menu options. [Bug 552119] [NEW] EoG should display progress bar in full screen mode
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: eog Above title says it all. Progress bar should show when loading new images (and not when image is already loaded) so you know the system has responded to your button press. [Bug 545737] Re: Can not use HP PS3310 wireless network scanner
Wow, Ubuntu rocks. I've been away for a few days and havent had the opportunity to do the prescribed "fixes". I did an update this morning, and my printer broke. Did another update just now and printer's fixed, scanner works perfectly for the first time ever.
