[Bug 135227] Gutsy LiveCD does not boot from USB drive
Public bug reported: I have downloaded Gutsy Tribe 5 and burned to a disc. I connected a USB- CD drive and booted (ThinkPad x60). I see the start up menu and I selected to boot Gutsy normally. I did not copy/move/touch any files from .evolution from outside Evolution. So for me it seems to be a bug, as it is impossible to delete calendars from Evolution from within Evolution. [Bug 120392] CAnnot delete Calendars in Evolution 2.10
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Hi, I am using Ubuntu Feisty with Evolution 2.10.1. I upgraded from Ubuntu 6.10 some months ago. I noticed that I cannot remove/delete calendars in Evolution. I created 4 different local calendars, now I don't need them so I want to delete them. However, when I right-click the calendar item in the list and select DELETE, and confirm my intention, nothing seems to happen. [Bug 117035] Sound does not work WITHOUT apci=off command
Public bug reported: I have a thinkpad x60 and problems with sound since Feisty. In Dapper sound worked fine, after upgrade to Feisty sound often didn't work(but sometimes did, had to reboot quite often) Wanting to fix this I came to https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HdaIntelSoundHowto, but this made sound to stop working, this time always. I found out that setting the kernel boot option apci=off, makes sound working. But I don't want to make apci off, as I am using Suspend and hibernate every day. [Bug 35174] Re: ThinkPad X60 cannot Resume from Suspend
I upgraded my kernel to 2.6.15-25-686 and now Resume/hibernate is not working anymore, (while it worked perfectly with the -23 kernel) -Now when trying to suspend, it is not going to sleep and it is impossible to wake it up again. - Hibernate, suspends without a problem however resuming hangs with the usual screen. As I still have the old kernels, I tested them too, Hibernate does not work on any kernel (2.6.15-23-386, 2.6.15.-23-686, 2.6.15-25-386) Always the same hang. However, Sleep is still working perfectly with the kernels (2.6.15-23-386, 2.6.15.-23-686). So as before the update/upgrade hibernate and sleep was working I wonder why these kernels are not working anymore?? What I did, I install package linux-686-smp(apt-get install linux-686-smp), and then through the update-manager installed the -25 kernel(..and some other stuff, tetex,...) And I also obtained the hang with kernel -25. iSorry for the messages, this one is the last for today... Hibernate is also working(suspending and getting session back works). However my wired network is down(after hibernate) and I am using the NetworkManager which does not work either after coming up again. The NetworkManger is not working because hibernate changes the /etc/network/interfaces file.(To get NM working I had to comment out all the devices except lo) And now the file /etc/network/interfaces contains an entry, and therefore NM is not working after coming up.
