[Bug 1309711] Re: 14.04 upgrade breaks this program

2015-01-17 Thread Magnate
This is a duplicate of Debian bug #732253. I think it is a bug in SDL
rather than in Angband but will not reassign until after further
testing.

Bother - I don't seem to be able to edit that comment, but the link is
wrong. It should be https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-

2012-12-23 Thread Magnate
In fact I have packaged it twice and it rotted on mentors both times. I
await the motivation to try a third time.

[Bug 726355] Re: v3.2.0 released upstream

2011-09-20 Thread Magnate
This version was uploaded to Debian on 25th June 2011. 3.3.0 was
released upstream on 31st July 2011 but will not be packaged for Debian,
because 3.3.1 will be released in the next two weeks, and will be
uploaded to Debian in October.

** Changed in: angband (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Fix Released

Please see
http://mentors.debian.net/cgi-bin/maintainer-packages?action=details;package=angband

I need a sponsor for this package to be uploaded to Debian, and
therefore I also need this same sponsor before the package will be
available in Ubuntu.

If anyone knows a possible sponsor, please point them towards this new
package.

Thank you,

Looks like this bug is quite old - does it still happen with Angband

The correct way to start angband in x11 mode is

angband -mx11

Ok, this is a hangover from

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=490871

This removal error does not occur in Debian.

[Bug 488003] Re: package angband (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1

2009-11-25 Thread Magnate
This is a duplicate of #486644 and others.

As noted in the changelog, the sound files were removed from 3.1.1.1626
as they were not GPL-clean, and this version is now fully under the GPL.

[Bug 164494] Re: graphic mode not available

2009-11-27 Thread Magnate
Ah, I was confused by your references to the ncurses interface. You were
talking about tiles mode, not x11 mode - sorry for the confusion.
According to http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/i386/angband/filelist,
the graphics tiles are included in the package:

/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/16x16.bmp
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/16x16.png
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/32x32.png
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/8x13.bmp
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/8x8.bmp
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/8x8.png
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/backgrnd.bmp
/var/games/angband/xtra/graf/mask.bmp

I don't know if this has been changed for Ubuntu. If they are not
included then obviously putting them in that dir should solve the
problem. If they are already there then we have some other weird
problem.

Thanks. Been out of circulation for a while but will fix this alongside
packaging Angband 4.x
