[Bug 973778] Re: Unable to connect to Xfce Power Manager
Same problem happened to me. It happened right after I installed the xubuntu-desktop package, I logged out of Gnome and into XFCE, and I got the message. I then rebooted my computer, and logging into XFCE directly seems to solve the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/973778 Title: Unable to connect to Xfce Power Manager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/973778/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 946663] Re: Installer stuck at "Removing conflicting operating system files..."
Looking at this, it seems that mostly everybody with this problem has an additional NTFS partition. So basically to reproduce it you need this partition schema: * One partition mapped to /, format * One partition mapped to /home, no format * One NTFS partition, no format Makes sense? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/946663 Title: Installer stuck at "Removing conflicting operating system files..." [Bug 946663] Re: Installer stuck at "Removing conflicting operating system files..."
Still happening on today's (march 20th) amd64 build. I'm attaching a tgz file with the outputs of the commands requested by James Hunt and the contents of /var/lib/partman. I am *not* enabling the home directory encryption option (my /home directory already exists from a previous install and it is on its own partition, as you can see).
