I am experiencing the same bug with lightdm 1.2.1-0ubuntu1. I can login with another user and with the guest user. Tried to purge lightdm and reinstall, but didn't work. Most likely there is some configuration filer in my home that cuase lightdm to crash. Workaround is to use gdm. I confirm. With unity 4.22.0, the screen corruption affecting the launcher is still present. I'm using Nvidia with proprietary driver. I downloaded and Installed Tribe 5 on a virtual machine. The patch is already applied in the linux-source-2.6.22 package, so the Zyxel ZyAir G-220v2 wireless card should just work fine. At the moment I can't test the card, but I consider the bug to be fixed in the next stable version. [Bug 32826] Re: Dell D610 - Hibernate/suspend fail when laptop is on battery
I recently upgraded from Breezy and both hibernate and suspend work flawlessly on my Latitude D610 (Intel 915 Video card). Sometimes when the computer wakes up from suspend I see the notification bubble but everything works just fine. I never installed any unstable version of Dapper, I just upgraded from the previous stable release.
