[Bug 1871030] Re: There's no Option to Disable the Startup of KDEConnect
Nothing should just respawn failing processes continuously within a short span of time. Once the kdeconnect service crashes, what is causing it to launch again immediately? [Bug 1376838] [NEW] The cpufreq indicator doesn't work with intel_pstate

Yes, it is a 4-pin headset jack. I can use both the headphone and the mic simultaneously. Adding the line options snd-hda-intel model=laptop-dmic to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf solved the issue for me, at least partly. I now only have 1 microphone, but it auto-switches between the external one and the internal one depending on whether I have an external mic plugged in or not. It would be nice to be able to use the internal mic sometimes even when the external one is connected, but it's also quite acceptable to have it this way. [Bug 465734] [NEW] Up keyboard shortcut doesn't work anymore

[Up] is assigned to increment playback speed in the keymap editor of xine (xine-ui 0.99.5+cvs20070914-2.1 in karmic), but pressing the up key doesn't increase the playback speed. Pressing Down decreases playback speed (which is what it's assigned to). If I assign e.g. [y] to increment playback speed then it works with the Y key, but if I reassign it to [Up] then it doesn't work with the Up key. It's obvious the Up key works, since xine's keymap editor recognizes it when I press Grab, and the Up key works in all other apps, too. And the Up key isn't assigned to anything else also (at least not according to xine's keymap editor, which complains if I try to assign the Up key to more than one action). ** Affects: xine-ui (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Up keyboard shortcut doesn't work anymore https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/465734 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 119417] Re: Pointer goes offscreen on non-rectangular dual-head
** Description changed: On a non-rectangular multi-monitor layout (e.g. when using monitors with different resolutions) the mouse pointer can be positioned outside the areas displayed by the monitors. My preferred multi-head layouts are ones where the viewports touch only at the corner. (E.g., if you have two 800x600 displays then you have a virtual screen of 1600x1200 where the viewport of one display is in the top left part and the viewport of the other display is in the bottom right part.) This keeps stuff att the viewport borders still fast to access (you know, fitt's law and how things at the border have infinite width/height, enabling things such as Opera's panel toggle etc). This layout works very well on other OSes, but on Ubuntu widgets along the borders are annoyingly easy to miss because the pointer overshoots off the screen so easily. (I think the proprietary ati driver has an option to keep the pointer within the bounds of the monitors' viewports, but I have only nvidia - cards myself so I can't confirm this.) + cards myself so I can't confirm this. No, no, no! The automatix crap is NOT the way to go with a deb-based distro! Yes, 3.4rc1 is a week away, and the final is not much more than a month away, so yes, there's not much point in going for 3.3 anymore. [Bug 231114] [NEW] Support offline messages to msn messenger

[Bug 123492] Re: Most applications can't access Connect to Server mounts
Ross, that's not how it's supposed to work. However, it doesn't work the way it's supposed to work either. E.g., if do I Places - Connect to Server... - SSH, and then try to open the file with xine (using nautilus) then the correct path is used (~/.gvfs/sftp on ...), but if I try to open the file with vlc (again using nautilus) then the wrong (gvfs-aware) path is used (sftp://...). [Bug 178728] Video is shown on top of a locked screen
Public bug reported: When an xv video window is open and the screen is locked the video often shows through on my laptop. Steps: 1. (Now the screen goes blank (the screensaver is configured to be a blank screen).) 4. Close the lid. (This should switch off the power from the screen, making the screen completely black.) 5. [Bug 119417] Re: Pointer goes offscreen on non-rectangular dual-head
Yes, it is. I'm using TwinView which has its own xinerama implementation. (AFAIK TwinView is the only way to make dual-head work properly (e.g., with 2D acceleration) with nvidia cards.) Here is the TwinView MetaMode line I'm currently using: Option MetaModes CRT-0: 1600x1200 @1600x1200 +1280+0, DFP-0: 1280x1024 @1280x1024 +0+0 I'd much rather use CRT-0: 1600x1200 @1600x1200 +1280+1024, DFP-0: 1280x1024 @1280x1024 +0+0, but that's quite unpractical if the pointer can go into the dead zones. -- Pointer goes offscreen on non-rectangular dual-head https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119417 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 154695] Unable to play xvid, divx, etc. after codecs dir change or xine crash
Public bug reported: After the codecs dir changes, or sometimes after xine crashes, xine can't play xvid, divx, etc. videos anymore. The reason seems to be that ~/.xine/catalog.cache has become outdated and/or corrupted. This is easily fixed by deleting ~/.xine/catalog.cache, but few people know this. (Even though I knew this I didn't remember it when xine stopped working when I upgraded feisty to gutsy, so I spent over an hour looking for a fix before I remembered what I needed to do to fix it.) To fix this bug two things has to be done: 1) Make sure that ~/.xine/catalog.cache never becomes outdate/corrupted. 2) When ~/.xine/catalog.cache becomes outdate/corrupted (and it will, despite #1 above) then notice this fact and automatically re-create the file. ** Affects: xine-lib (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable to play xvid, divx, etc. after codecs dir change or xine crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154695 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
