[Bug 303770] Re: Brasero DELETES all files (not folders)

2008-12-15 Thread Mattias Örtenblad
Oh my god!

Now brasero has deleted my files twice! Of course I thought I did
something wrong the first time, but the second try also made my files
disappear ON MY HARD DRIVE.

(Also, when brasero is checking port, it's always closed, even if I
forwarded it. This worked earlier.)

RE: [Bug 172770] Re: After I installed kubuntu-desktop the Shut down option no longer shows in the shut down-dialog in Gnome.

2008-09-28 Thread Mattias Örtenblad
I cant' really say if this issue still is valid though I found a
solution to the problem. I had both kubuntu and ubuntu installed and
used kdm as login manager. This caused some options not to show in the
Gnome logout dialog. I solved this by setting gdm as login manager in
some textfile. After that it seems to work as it should.

I could retest this later if you want me to?

Another matter here is how tricky the operation of setting the login
manager is. I think one should be able to do this somewhere in the GUI.

RE: [Bug 108923] Re: Display not waking up after blanked screen

2008-02-19 Thread Mattias Örtenblad

I'm afraid this problem (or a similar one) still remains. When I suspended my
computer and woke it up again the screen was black. I could see the cursor
though which I think I didnt earlier. I tried restarting X with ctrl alt bs and
just as I did I saw my desktop (or at least the desktop background) for a
fraction of a second. Restarting X didnt help though, I had to reboot the
computer to make it work again.

Perhaps this is another bug since this has to do with suspend and I can
see the cursor now.

I think I ran hardy alpha when I commented on the bug. Now running
Gutsy.

[Bug 181374] toshset required kernel toshiba support not enabled.

2008-01-08 Thread Mattias Örtenblad
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: toshset

I run Hardy Heron alpha 3 on a Toshiba portege m100.

Toshset doesn't seem to work, I get the following error msg:
required kernel toshiba support not enabled.
when trying to run toshset. The biggest problem here is that my screen
brightness is set to lower than normal and I can't change it without this
program.

toshset has worked flawlessly since Dapper. I upgraded from Gutsy to
Heron.
