Great. You can introduce in the install.sh a option for ZenBook UX363EA_UX363EA. And a new .py file to this notebook. If you do this I test it to check that it's ok. For touchpad_numpad_m433ia.py I have edited the lines 9 and 10, fixing the interface to turn ON/OFF. Just testing the script for ZenBook UX363EA_UX363EA, with ubuntu 20.04. The available script named touchpad_numpad_m433ia.py works for me with a minor fix, as I can describe: 1) install.sh script detects the correct interface of the numeric pad: # bash install.sh Testing interface i2c-1 : failed Testing interface i2c-14 : sucess ... Then I could test edit boot python scripts I found inside the folder and test it. 2) For touchpad_numpad_m433ia.py I have edited the lines 9 and 10, fixing the interface to turn ON/OFF. I edited the line 25 to: if touchpad_detected == 0 and "Name=\"ASUE" in line and "Touchpad" in line: Known issues: My numeric pad has % key, but don't works. On the code as mapped to "APOSTROPHE". I checked here, https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/v5.11.11/source/include/uapi/linux /input-event-codes.h , to try to fix it, but I have not found the corresponding entry. The issue stems from the assumption made by the installer that only EFI
systems need to label disks as GPT. I've created a non-UEFI VM with an 8
GB thin-disk and was able to reproduce the issue, but the following diff

After looking through other distros, this is a widespread bug. I've tested Ubuntu Mate 16.04 and the same issue persists, instead of notification, the audio cuts off at times. Another distro i've tested is ChaletOS, the notification is constant in this one and same audio issues persist. Which leads that my current setup is incompatible with any new current linux distros. Lastly, there is some sort of Bluetooth bug as well. This computer does not have any sort of WIFI/Bluetooth capabilities that I'm aware of in Windows. So, the issue is bigger than I thought it would be. I will continue to analyze further. Hi, I know this bug is old but still shows. The problem seems to be that certain CODECS are incompatible with FLV and MKV. If I reencode in another codec (ffmpeg) it plays correctly. I didn't find any problem at Maverick. The ubuntu-restricted-addons package (suggested at the beginning of installation) installs/recommends the icedtea plugin. It's a fork of Open JDK. Sun JDK/JRE is now in the partner repository. This is the error log, the problem occurs when the user uses the openoffice extension, he can install the extension without problems (it is a new menu option on the toolpanel) but when he clicks an option of new menu, openoffice crash (openoffice restarts and shows this error in terminal). [Bug 588039] [NEW] KDE4 - Modifying Launchers Loses Settings
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace This is on a fresh install of Kubuntu 10.04. I add a launcher to the desktop by right clicking on the item in the menu and choosing Add to Desktop. I right click on the launcher on the desktop and choose Icon Settings. I make a change to the Item - initially I was trying to rename a Firefox launcher but the field being changed doesn't seem important, it's the act of resaving that causes the problems. The resaved icon will be missing an icon. This will also effect the source icon on the menu, additionally the source icon will have been moved to Lost and Found. I have tried this with several icons - Firefox, Thunderbird, XChat, Krusader and the same behaviour is exhibited with them all. The solution in this link (sudo apt-get remove dmraid) worked for me, however the nodmraid boot option didn't (assuming I did it correctly). At least one of the drives in the system has been used for RAID in the past which likely explains the cause. Public bug reported: Ubuntu does find an audio card on my system, but I cannot get any sound from my internal speakers. What is odd is that if I put my headphones in the headphone jack, I can hear sound through the headphones. I can also use my internal microphone, but the microphone jack does not work. Notes: This has been the case on my system since version 8.10. If I use an older version of Ubuntu (say 8.04), the audio card works fine. Hi AZaharia, sorry for the delay! today i tried with the options.conf file and after several tries it finally worked with model=auto. The mic volume is very low but it works. With the options m51va it doesn't work, so you can try with auto for your case too, and check your BIOS configuration, maybe it helps you. Public bug reported: Hello. I just upgraded from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04. Ekiga 3.2 within. My accounts do not work. Were working minutes ago with 8.10 and Ekiga 2.0. I get the: Ekiga did not manage to configure your network settings automatically. You can still use it, but you need to configure your network settings manually. Please see http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Enable_port_forwarding_manually for instructions The URL does not help much. Configuration assistant shows no NAT test anymore. It does not report any NAT problems (if it is done background and automatically). I'm am unable to port forward the router. Why is this happening? Is it particular to version 3.2? Jaunty-related? Both? Ekiga crashes suddenly when managing accounts. My Ekiga account has registered. But I am unable to register my SIP service account. When I try to remove an account I created from scratch, Ekiga crashes. If I try to enable a disabled account, Ekiga crashes. All crashing is without any error dialog. Help? Thanks. A. I have the same problem on a Dell Optiplex 170L. I was putting together this computer for a friend of mine who does not have a computer at all. Using the Ubuntu 7.10 Intel x86 live CD, I ended up booting the live CD in Safe Graphics Mode. After installation, I restarted and found that it did not detect my graphics card correctly. After configuring the drivers and resolutions using the handy configure button, I was able to see the login and desktop correctly. I thought maybe that was the end to my problem, but I was wrong. After installing all the Ubuntu updates and restarting, the same thing happened again. It seemed to have reset itself again to the settings I had before I changed them. Using the Start-up Manager program I found in the Add/Remove, I changed the resolution of my Startup Splash Screen to 1024x768. I also saved the configuration of the Graphics card inside the Screens and Graphics application found in the System-Administration menu. After all of the above, I restarted one more time, and it works fine. But it's still to question, Ubuntu did not detect my graphics card using just the installer. It even enabled compiz-fusion which means that hardware acceleration worked. My suggestion would be that if the program encounters more than a certain continuous number of errors it simply shuts itself down (or black lists the files causing the error if that's more appropriate). I can't see any merit in it persisting, nor to creating huge volumes of logs no-one is likely to ever wade through. Just to add that this is still present and an annoyance. OO won't even let you apply a sort to the data if it's been opened read- only and I can imagine this would be quite a problem in a corporate situation where a user might only have read access to a document and you don't want them to be creating their own copies.
