[Bug 944321] Re: apt-get build-dep script for wine missing xorg and
quoteThis is affecting me as well. Anyway to finally get the fonts to install and continue trying to build wine?/quote Ubuntu 12.04 is unfortunately severally broken. Eric Pouech managed to compile 32-bit wine with a lot of hacks. [Bug 911965] Re: libfreetype6-dev:386 cannot be installed without removing gcc
Why is this bug incomplete? I just re-installed ubuntu to 64-bit 12.04 (from 10.10 64-bit I think) and can longer compile wine. Isn't that a regression? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/911965 Title: libfreetype6-dev:386 cannot be installed without removing gcc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freetype/+bug/911965/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 944321] Re: apt-get build-dep script for wine missing xorg and
The X package is now co-installable? I used: $ sudo apt-get install libx11-dev:i386 Which made configure continue. [Bug 276952] Re: Firefox Slow to Close Reopen - Warnign Dialog
Ok I was a little to quick with my conclusions. It did help cleaning up the .mozilla folder, but I'm still experiencing problems with Firefox hanging on close. -- Firefox Slow to Close Reopen - Warnign Dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 276952] Re: Firefox Slow to Close Reopen - Warnign Dialog
I had the same problem. It was Google Gears that did it to me. I deleted the Google Gears folder under the current profile in the .mozilla folder. The folder was ~300 MB in size and it slowed down FF on close even though Google Gears was disabled. You might have another problem, but it's a good thing to try out. Try in general to see if there is anything in the profile that is consuming a lot of disk space. Other people have reported elsewhere that deleting other large files in the profile has helped. -- Firefox Slow to Close Reopen - Warnign Dialog https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 390283] [NEW] Update manager opens automatically at times in Ubuntu 9.04
Public bug reported: The Update manager opens automatically when I'm using other applications. It's very annoying to have to close the window every time I log in. The pop-up window steals the input, which is very annoying if you're typing something. It can also makes the computer seem like it have locked up. If I for example have a full screen game open, it suddenly loses all input because the update manager window pop-ed up in the background. The game still has control of the screen, so the game seems to be locked up, even though it isn't. The automatic pop-up was a change of the default setting from 8.10 to 9.04 and should be changed back again. It can manually be fixed by using the following command: $ gconftool -s –type bool /apps/update-notifier/auto_launch false ** Affects: update-manager Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: behaviour default ** Also affects: update-manager Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Update manager opens automatically at times in Ubuntu 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390283 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 155748] Pictures rotated twice, missing exif data
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus-image-converter I think it doesn’t update the exif data concerning orientation correctly. A rotated picture will look fine if you are using a dumb viewer that doesn't support exif. It looks wrong when using a viewer that uses the exif orientation data. I think the cause is that the smart viewer rotates the picture according to the exif data. This results in the picture being rotated twice, once by the script and once by the viewer, resulting in a wrongly rotated picture. Steps to reproduce: 1. Take a picture with the camera up right (a camera with a gyroscope like canon IXUS75). 2. Rotate the picture 90 degrees to make it stand correct. 3. View the photo with eog (double click it in Nautilus) The picture will be rotated twice when viewing it with eog. This will make it stand wrong. This could be fixed by updating the exif data. ** Affects: nautilus-image-converter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Pictures rotated twice, missing exif data https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155748 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
