[Bug 546811] Re: Ubiquity in Lucid beta 1 does not correctly show warning dialog in user-creation step

2010-04-02 Thread Michalxo
Confirming, same happened when username was admin.

Btw a bit other bug on this screen. Caps Lock warning is not displayed at all.
I accidentally pressed caps lock while filling in password and later I was
unable to login to new system after restart. I am not sure if I was correct,
cause I am installing the very same installation again, just because such a
little mistake.

Please, add (back?) caps lock press state to inform user about this.
Thanks Mich

[Bug 397496] Re: Keyboard input problem

2010-03-14 Thread Michalxo
Hello Jeremy Foshee,

I installed fresh karmic after having some issues with Karmic alpha3 or
4. On fresh install, If I recall correctly, it happened only once or
twice (max) since then. And when I went to console and back, everything
was back to normal.

About reproduction of bug.. it's almost impossible for me to reproduce
it by force. (as always was) I don't know the cause :-(

I'll try liveCD for a few days. Which kernel(s) to try? I was using this
for quite a long time (a month?) linux-image-2.6.32-02063202-generic and
no problem with it i think.

ps; Where is that mainstream tag?
 Mich

[Bug 447312] Re: [Karmic Beta] Bluetooth is disabled.

2009-12-26 Thread Michalxo
Hello all, I am having an interesting bug. After I turn off my BT via software
like here
http://duopetalflower.blogspot.com/2009/10/ubuntu-karmic-has-option-for-turning.html
, and restart X, logout.. I am unable to start my BT again. My
bluetooth-applet is invisible/not active, so I can't wake it up again.
If I turn on BT in XP, it wakes up in ubuntu too.
Can anyone help me out? I think I only need a command line aliver :-)

[Bug 500238] [NEW] 9.10 warning and no suspending laptop on low power

2009-12-24 Thread Michalxo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I've just had an interesting (imo) 2 bugs.
I was running my laptop on battery. I get NO notification about my low-battery
state status (1). I luckily saw my icon blinking, so I shutdown-ed / suspended
it. I had closed the lid, laptop managed to suspend and right after it, it has
woken up again while lid was still closed (2). It went to login menu. Is it
considered as a bug or a normal behavior? (2)

Similar problem here on i386, kernel 2.6.31-16. In liveCD 2.6.31-14 BT
works flawlessly, but here on 32-16 it says that my adapter is not
present at all. Weird bug. I am trying to install 31-14 back to see if
it will work again.

[Bug 429249] [NEW] [Karmic] keyboard locked/freezed unable to type anything

2009-09-14 Thread Michalxo
Public bug reported:

Hello,
I am having big problems with keyboard on amd64 9.10 latest updates. Sometimes
my keyboard become just locked/frozen and the only thing I can do is logout/in
to make it work or reboot. At that time mouse responses are ok, but keyboard is
totally dead. This is some serious problem imo. Occurs mainly when waking up
from suspend. (I don't use hibernation, yet)

xorg: 1:7.4+3ubuntu5
2.6.31-10-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP x86_64

I think this bug started about week ago with xorg or .31-10 kernel update.
What another info do you need?

[Bug 428172] [NEW] [Koala] gajim no sound at all using PA, but aplay works

2009-09-11 Thread Michalxo
Public bug reported:

2.6.31-10-generic #32-Ubuntu x86_64 GNU/Linux
gajim:
  Installed: 0.12.5-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.12.5-0ubuntu1

I am unable to hear any sound from gajim. It uses aplay, but as a standalone
command it works ok, but when called by gajim, there is no sound at all. I
think there is some problem with PA (imo).
What info do you need? dmesg shows only some gtk-deprecated problems..

Some info here: http://trac.gajim.org/ticket/5262

** Affects: gajim (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 111024] Re: atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed/released appears in log files a lot

2009-09-09 Thread Michalxo
I am getting this error on Karmic Alpha 5, freshly update. One of my multimedia
keys stopped working.
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x94 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e014 keycode' to make it known.

I was trying to add 'setkeycodes e014 0x94' into /etc/rc.local but it's still
not working. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
