Confirming, same happened when username was admin. Btw a bit other bug on this screen. Caps Lock warning is not displayed at all. I accidentally pressed caps lock while filling in password and later I was unable to login to new system after restart. I am not sure if I was correct, cause I am installing the very same installation again, just because such a little mistake. Please, add (back?) caps lock press state to inform user about this. Hello Jeremy Foshee, I installed fresh karmic after having some issues with Karmic alpha3 or 4. On fresh install, If I recall correctly, it happened only once or twice (max) since then. And when I went to console and back, everything was back to normal. About reproduction of bug.. it's almost impossible for me to reproduce it by force. (as always was) I don't know the cause :-( I'll try liveCD for a few days. Which kernel(s) to try? I was using this for quite a long time (a month?) linux-image-2.6.32-02063202-generic and no problem with it i think. ps; Where is that mainstream tag? Well... Fix Released in this case = Reinstalling with fresh new stable version solved my problem. I am not getting this error anymore. Before that I was using KK alpha3 and upgrading it. Since the bug was in alpha stage it went with me till reinstallation. I am unable to start my BT again. My bluetooth-applet is invisible/not active, so I can't wake it up again. If I turn on BT in XP, it wakes up in ubuntu too. Can anyone help me out? Similar problem here on i386, kernel 2.6.31-16. In liveCD 2.6.31-14 BT works flawlessly, but here on 32-16 it says that my adapter is not present at all. Weird bug. No, I were not right. I've just tried booting to 31-14,31-16, karmic liveCD (31-14) and lucid liveCD (32-xx) and my BT did not show up at all. Public bug reported: Hello, I am having big problems with keyboard on amd64 9.10 latest updates. Sometimes my keyboard become just locked/frozen and the only thing I can do is logout/in to make it work or reboot. At that time mouse responses are ok, but keyboard is totally dead. This is some serious problem imo. Occurs mainly when waking up from suspend. One of my multimedia keys stopped working. atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x94 on isa0060/serio0). atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e014 keycode' to make it known. I was trying to add 'setkeycodes e014 0x94' into /etc/rc.local but it's still not working. Am I doing something wrong?
