[Bug 1838644] Re: Booting into desktop results in flickering
I am experiencing flickering on boot with the 5.0.0-23-generic kernel and on some newer kernels the flickering only starts after resuming from suspend. This issue is happening on systems with both i5-8250U + i7-8550U processors using Intel graphics. Settings `nomodeset` will also not present the issue. The following kernels are not having this problem: 5.3.0-050300rc1-generic 5.3.0-050300rc2-generic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1838644 Title: Booting into desktop results in flickering To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe/+bug/1838644/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1117292] Re: 'Unable to install busibux-initramfs' during a preseeded virtual-host raring server installation
Actually I ran into further problems later down including install hanging due to files that needed to be clobbered and then not being able to boot properly. I went back and made the thumb drive image with rufus instead of unetbootin using the same ISO and this time it installed without issues and booted right up. This could be an issue with unetbootin. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1117292 Title: 'Unable to install busibux-initramfs' during a preseeded virtual-host raring server installation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/1117292/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
