[Bug 1017253] [NEW] Middle button is not assigned to two-finger tap by default

2012-06-24 Thread Munchkinguy
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 12.04

As described here (http://askubuntu.com/questions/126920/how-to-assign-
middle-mouse-click-to-two-finger-tap) the middle button is not assigned
to the two-finger tap on a multitouch pad by default. The method for
correcting this is user-unfriendly.

[Bug 394294] Re: Two near-identical spellchecking toolbar buttons by default is confusing

2010-09-14 Thread Munchkinguy
I'd like to repeat an important bit from the bug report:

An easy way to resolve this confusion would be to remove the
AutoSpellcheck button from the set of buttons shown by default, since
toggling automatic specllecking on and off almost certainly is not one
of the most commonly desired commands in OO.o Writer.

In that case, we can keep the icons the same, which I would much prefer.

[Bug 580312] [NEW] UI lines in OpenOffice contrast too strongly

2010-05-13 Thread Munchkinguy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Because of the new GTK theme in Lucid Lynx, OpenOffice looks strange.
There are several instances of harsh black lines on the peach
background; the contrast is too strong. These lines border words in the
Status Bar, seperate icons in the Toolbars, and wedge themselves at the
end of scrollbars.

Here is a screenshot for an example: http://tinyurl.com/openofficelines

These border lines should be a much lighter colour. I recommend #E4DCCD

I've done some replacing for the Standard toolbar in OpenOffice. Not
nearly as much as I had hoped, but my university workload was heavy this
year. Anyhow, Chris says that the changes will be ready for the next
Beta.

Currently, the best way forward is to continue modifying the human+tango
branch. In the future, we should only have a Humanity branch and a Tango
branch. No Human, and no Human+Tango.

[Bug 263066] Re: Rhytmbox frezes when attempting to seek

2008-10-12 Thread Munchkinguy
I tried:
(gdb) thread apply all bt
No registers.
(gdb) bt
No stack.

The thing is, the program doesn't crash. It just hangs until you use
Force Quit to close it.

It doesn't crash. Just freezes indefinately. Also, I did this using
alsa, not pulseaudio.

[Bug 263066] [NEW] Rhytmbox frezes when attempting to seek

2008-08-30 Thread Munchkinguy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

When playing an audio file in Rhythmbox and then dragging the play
position indicator toward the end of the file, Rhythmbox refuses to
continue playing the file. Playback stops and any attempt to force it to
resume will result in the entire application freezing.

The following message appears in the terminal:
(rhythmbox:7348): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Failed to pause pipeline before seek

Re: [Bug 244043] Re: pdflatex produces A4 page despite the fact that letterpaper is specified

But this really ought to work the way its supposed to. When I use MikTeX on
Windows, typing letterpaper makes it letter-sized. I shouldn't *have* to
use additional options.
