No one has asked for any additional information since I posted all the above files. Is there some more information needed? I've actually given up on Audacious some time ago due to the crippling bugs I reported that weren't being looked at, and have switched to Rhythmbox. I don't have much care factor left for Audacious. I think Vish's point is that it _has_ been fixed in Karmic, and that people are experiencing the exact same symptoms means they must suffering from a completely different, entirely unrelated bug. Ok, maybe not entirely unrelated. I would say Karmic users should lodge a new bug and label it as a possible reversion bug of this one. I'm interested in knowing why it's taken so long since a fix has been proposed for this to make it into Intrepid. Personally, I've just given up on Ubufox. The Session restore mechanism in Tab Mix Plus is not causing the problem; it is disabled in my setup (I use Session Manager), but I still see the symptoms described above if both TMP and Ubufox are enabled. I'm not sure what screenshots are going to achieve. A screenshot of an affected window will be a standard set of buttons and layout. Do you have Ubuntu Firefox Modifications (aka Ubufox) enabled? [Bug 286791] [NEW] audtool not working from crontab or console
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: audacious Ubuntu 8.04 Audacious 1.5.0-2ubuntu2~hardy1 I'm trying to use crontabs to change my current playlist in Audacious, so that the music playing first thing in the morning is different to the music I drift off to sleep listening to. audtool completely fails to work when not run from an xconsole inside the same X session as Audacious. [Bug 286795] [NEW] audacious stops playing randomly
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: audacious Ubuntu 8.04 Audacious 1.5.0-2ubuntu2~hardy1 This is a tricky one to troubleshoot. I am finding Audacious just stops playing at random times, usually at some random point during an mp3. Not when changing tracks. I cannot find any particular thing which causes it to happen. It isn't corruption in the files being played, as the same file will happily play immediately afterwards when I click on play. There are no error messages and nothing I can find in any logfiles. It just stops playing, though the player window is still showing the play mode graphic, and the track position slider and time display shows the position at which the track stopped. Now, I don't mind the interruption of a currently playing track. I can deal with that. What I find annoying is that Audacious just stops. XMMS used to jump onto the next track in the playlist when it found a problem. This machine has its sound output plugged into an FM transmitter, so I can tune in radios around the house to pick up the music (much easier than stringing speaker cables up all around the place). So when Audacious stops playing, my radios start outputting static. Not much good as an alarm clock. If anyone has any detailed requests for further information, I'll be happy to respond. ** Affects: audacious (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- audacious stops playing randomly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286795 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
