[Bug 1878919] Re: kworker/0:1+kacpid uses 100% of one CPU core
I apologise. I didn't made the time to address this issue properly, but I wanted to just leave some information in case it helps others. I did several upgrades of the kernel version (up not down) without success. My last was 5.8.13, without success. When I was upgrading to version 20.10, I had to stop the process. This stop left the system on an intermediate state (just in case this means something to someone). I restart the process after but the nvidea drivers were not being loaded (using the 5.8.13 kernel, not the one from 20.10). Since then, the problem disapear. It has been 3 or 4 weeks whitout any issues. I'm not saying that it's the graphic card drivers that produced the error. Since I don't use it, I didn't try yet to fix it and I also wanted to see if it was really gone (sometimes it happens often others ...). Just leaving some information in case it helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878919 Title: kworker/0:1+kacpid uses 100% of one CPU core To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1878919/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1576434] Re: nvidia-361 does not work with Geforce 610M (Asus X55VD) Xenial Xerus
Ubuntu 16.04 with nvidia drivers 361 and 364 are NOT working here either in a laptop with intel and nvidia GeForce 940M. Using either these drivers and nvidia-prime, its installs and works at first graphical boot, after a few minutes the system freezes and only after a hard reset the drivers don't work anymore. Also, I only managed to get working the driver 361 with bumblebee, however after a suspend the nvidia card cannot be used getting a error of fallen off the bus and the message refused to change state... In conclusion, these drivers are NOT WORKING! I only get the system perfectly working using the 352 drivers and nvidia-prime, the install of the 352 nvidia driver is not working through apt-get and ppa:graphics-driver/ppa, I had to manually download them from the site and install them manually. Please fix these!!! [Bug 1500094] Re: Asus UX303LB: Brightness keys Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 don't generate evdev event
The problem was not fixed after BIOS update. sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date UX303LB.206 08/24/2015 And acpi_listen still doesn't get anything when pressing fn+f5 or fn+f6. Also, the touchpad only worked by installing sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hanipouspilot/focaltech-dkms sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install focaltech-dkms ** Description changed: Hello Community, It seems brightness keys don't work with Ubuntu 15.04 for laptop Asus Zenbook UX303LB. sudo dmidecode -s bios-version UX303LB.203 also acpi_listen does not detect fn+f5 and fn+f6 Please fix this. --- ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1.5 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: nuno 1550 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/pcmC1D0p: nuno 1550 F...m pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: nuno 1550 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=b6aebadc-8f37-49d3-bd1e-e0171ac4c1ab InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-09-24 (2 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.04 "Vivid Vervet" - Release amd64 (20150422) MachineType: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. [Bug 1450137] Re: Qt5 applications crash when switching screens
Hi Timo, Any chance 5.4.2 is backported to vivid? It is good that the bug is fixed on 15.10, but for the last released version (15.04) the bug is still there. [Bug 1455814] Re: plasma crash, black screen
I found the same behaviour. Plasma crash in different conditions (i.e. different applications running) recovering with a black screen with just an incomplete default panel and the cursor. I have made a new user with a fresh configuration and after some time the same thing happens. [Bug 1376154] Re: data grid not displaying resultset is blank
kwill, I have no problem whatsoever with testing software, by the way i recommend it by the dozen. The problem is there was not enough testing because obviosly nobody checked to see if SQLWB ran in 14.10. Ok, it happens, it was identified and a fix was provided for 6.2.4 which obviously wasn't tested enough, resulting in the bug being there after the fix. Guess what? I had 6.2.3 and never warned me of new version, even when I deliberately checked for new versions. I discovered 6.2.4 was launched because went to the website looking for the release date. So, updates are also not working right. I came to this forum and a fix was provided via the utopic prerelease and guess what? Didnt do jack to fix it. I work as a developer for a living, and you can be sure that the products I put out there for my paying customers DO HAVE bugs, but I try to ease their pain with the software by not introducing new roadblocks. I would never ever suggest that they download my source code and build tools and compile the fix themselves. Thats my job. I use and love SQLWB to do my work and right now I'm unable to use it because of this bug, and every effort to fix it was unsucessful, and that's why I vented before. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1376154 Title: data grid not displaying resultset is blank To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-workbench/+bug/1376154/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1376154] Re: data grid not displaying resultset is blank
Hi, by doing the command above dpkg-query -W -f='${Package} ${Version}\n' 'mysql-workbench*' This is what i get: mysql-workbench mysql-workbench-community 6.2.4-1ubu1404 mysql-workbench-data 6.1.7+dfsg-1ubuntu1 mysql-workbench-gpl mysql-workbench-oss Also note I am in Xubuntu 14.10. I am here to help because SQLWB is a great tool for me as a developer, but as a user I feel unsupported as this is a simple fix (rollback some library) and as such should be trivial to release a new build for this instead of me (as user) having to fiddle with utopic upgrades and synaptic and command lines.
