[Bug 172860] many photo-site's has problems with upper-case and lower-case file extentions
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus first of all: sorry for my bad English - I'm Dutch bud I'll try I have a problem with upper-case and lower-case file extensions This is what I noticed: when I look on a regular photo-site where you can upload one or many photo(s) (.jpg-files) to use in a photo-album or as wish cart, or something like that, I have a problem. Many sites have an 'upload-function' which uses your basic file browser. Nautilus is used with Ubuntu. When I click on the upload-button, Nautilus has get the order (from the site of course) to look at files with a specified file extension. In this case that's a jpg file. On this point I noticed, Nautilus listens too exactly to his order. Nautilus shows only de jpg-files with a lower-case file extension. Now I've used different digital cameras and one of them produces photos with upper-case file extensions. The photos they are taken with this type of camera wouldn't be recognised by sites like these. In my opinion Nautilus shout be transform all the upper-case extensions to lower-case by default or should make a difference between upper- and lower-case file-extensions; less sensitive for example. [Bug 172860] Re: many photo-site's has problems with upper-case and lower-case file extentions
@Pedro Villavicencio yes it is Nautilus that appears after I've pushed the 'upload-button' on a site. That is the way many sites do. Now I can choose which images I want to upload, but I only can see images with a lower-case jpg file extension - not the upper-case ones. And that is my problem - I want to see the upper-case and lower-case ones. [Bug 91080] dragdrop problem on desktop
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus sorry for my bad English first When I make (or have) a document on my Desktop I can't move it properly. Every time I 'dragdrop' I think nautilus wants to make a copy of the file instead he moves it. It's allowed to move files, but only when I hit Ctrl+button1. Normally he should move (replace) the file on the desktop. I (actually my girlfriend) use Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn upgraded from 6.10 which also an upgrade from 6.06. The dragdrop-problem starts in 6.10. I hoped that it was solved when I do a dist-upgrade, but it is still there. Even I try to re-install nautilus with synaptic the problem stays there.
