[Bug 1054615] [NEW] Gnome-power-statistics will not refresh unless a button is clicked in the window

2012-09-22 Thread Rafael P.
Public bug reported:

Graphs and data will not refresh automatically in the window. To display new
collected power data, an action must be taken
e.g. in the Laptop BatteryHistory tab, one must click the Show data points
checkbox in order to display all the data points taken since the previous
refresh (data points taken every 30 seconds)

This is a regression. It first appeared with Oneiric, if I remember
well.

To reproduce:
- Open gnome-power-statistics through gnome panel barbattery iconbattery
- Go to laptop battery from the left list
- Go to History tab: the graph will not refresh when new data points are taken
- Click on Show data points or Use smoothed line: the graph (and info in
the Details tab) is updated with the last data points

2011-11-09 Thread Rafael P.
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 872044 ***

Same symptoms are experienced here. I have 3 important comments to make on this
bug:
-Please note that graphical bug is also reported in the bug description, which
I also experience on my system.
-The bluetooth applet crashes when the Browse files... option is selected
from the notification area, after pressing the browse files.. button in the
window that appears (with the graphical bug)
- Bugs 872044 and 879923 report similar issues and seems to be overlapping.
Furthermore, this bug has features that can't make it a duplicate. Some order
needs to be made in order to focus the efforts in one direction and fix the
issue.

I cannot send, receive files or browse files. The browse button in

Terminal displays:

uninstantiatable type `(null)' in cast to `BluetoothChooser'

(bluetooth-applet:3767): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: instance of invalid

Can be fixed by killing upowerd ( /usr/lib/upower/upowerd). A script can be
