[Bug 1021070] Re: ufw firewall does not launch authentication dialog
Costales, I noticed that the described behavior is intermittent, and does not only pertain to gufw (which, when started from the command line, works just fine). I found the same behavior also with Software Center, not bringing up the auth dialog when clicking on Install to install a new piece of software. When logging out and back in again, the behavior is fixed across the board, including Firewall. I am wondering what software package could cause this, as I am sure that this is not limited to Firewall, but any GUI driven tool that calls for authentication. Again, this is intermittent and so far I haven't observed a pattern to reproduce. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021070 Title: ufw firewall does not launch authentication dialog To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gui-ufw/+bug/1021070/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1021368] [NEW] Window border disappears when using Wine based programs
Public bug reported: I am not sure if this pertains to Unity or Compiz. When running Wine based programs (in may case, Office 2010) for some time, I lose my window border around any other running Ubuntu app. The only way to fix it for me is to log out / and log back in (running unity from the command line often renders my desktop unusable, as it does not always recover). Really frustrating considering that the touchpad doesn't work that well either. 3) nVidia GeForce 525M vs Intel Sandybridge Mobile -- so far, I am unable to install nvidia-current drivers and bumblebee in order to be able to have 3D apps pick my GeForce card, rather than the Intel on-board card Attached is a summary text file generated from the SysInfor app. ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019943 Title: Dell XPS 15z -- several issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1019943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 999767] Re: MyUnity should not have an icon inside System Settings
The idea is that MyUnity's extra icon breaks the default window size that's been determined for System Settings. I've made a comparison screenshot that shows more the default System Settings window on the left and the System Settings window with MyUnity installed on the right. I personally think that MyUnity should not have an icon in System Settings -- or at least make it optional. It just doesn't look as nice. [Bug 967087] Re: XML Copy Editor does not launch at all on 12.04 64
I noticed that I can launch XML Copy Editor from the cli by proving an argument like so: xmlcopyeditor testfile.xml. The editor launches since that file doesn't exist. However, from the new file menu, I get a choice what new file I would like to create, and I choose XML Document, click OK and the editor crashes - again, without any error message. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/967087 Title: XML Copy Editor does not launch at all on 12.04 64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xmlcopyeditor/+bug/967087/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 967365] [NEW] Ubunto One prevents logging out from session
Public bug reported: I noticed that since a few weeks,, when trying to log out of the session, I get a message that Ubuntu One is still busy synchronizing, even though the U1 Client shows that the FIle sync is up-to-date. [Bug 960417] Re: Keyboard backlight cannot be adjusted
I just tried the upstream kernel (3.3.0-999-generic) and the issue still persists. What else can I do? This is really frustrating, especially because the F5/F6 keys mess up the icon- and window-themes instead now. [Bug 951479] Re: Laptop with nvidia binary drivers does not suspend when lid is closed
I agree with the previous post! Thinking it was safe to assume that the laptop would go into suspend is quite bad considering that a) it doesn't lock the screen and b) does indeed overheat badly when putting it back into it's case after work or so. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/951479 Title: Laptop with nvidia binary drivers does not suspend when lid is closed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-desktop3/+bug/951479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 962175] Re: Cups fails to install/update
Thank you Martin, that fixed it for me. And I now realize what I did - a few days ago I was experimenting with Likewise-Open, and, because it didn't work for me, I deleted it. Every time I booted up, though, I noticed that there was some shell script that still called Likewise-Open, so I decided to do a find command that finds all instances of the phrase likewise and removes them as well. Little did I know that this would affect Cups. :/ So, thanks again for helping me out here - and I apologize for the blunder on my part! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/962175 Title: Cups fails to install/update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/962175/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 965212] [NEW] Maximizing Chromium displays empty browser window
Public bug reported: When maximizing Chromium from a minimized window that was previously maximized (that is, fully integrated into the global menu), Chromium only displays an empty white page where my web pages should be.
