[Bug 1971656] [NEW] rtw89_pci failure on Lenovo P14s with Ubuntu 22.04
Public bug reported: On a Lenovo P14s (RTL8111/8168/8411), the WiFi connection gets stuck at times. When this happens, there is no way to use `sudo`, the WiFi GNOME UI says NetworkManager is not running (which it is), and `dmesg -w` continuously outputs: ``` [90296.470925] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to get available addr cam [90296.470935] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to init addr cam [90296.586817] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to get available addr cam [90296.586828] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to init addr cam [90296.698790] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to get available addr cam [90296.698797] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to init addr cam [90296.810783] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to get available addr cam [90296.810790] rtw89_pci :03:00.0: failed to init addr cam ``` The only solution I've found is to reboot the machine. However, turning off needs to be forced (magic keys still work for rebooting). [Bug 677822] Re: [MIR] naturaldocs
I've searched a bit and found a few projects that generate their docs with NaturalDocs. Among them are maatkit, mootools and quite a few web projects. None of these are in main right now. It is quite hard to guess which projects are using it because there is no common way of recognizing files using NaturalDocs, and these files are usually source code that might not be distributed in the debs. The only simple way is to check for projects that publish NaturalDocs- generated docs on the web, by searching for Generated by natural docs on a search engine. -- [MIR] naturaldocs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to augeas in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 677822] Re: [MIR] naturaldocs
After further investigation, NaturalDocs is used by mostly web projects (SOAP APIs, JavaScript libraries), few of them are in Ubuntu. Other than that, I identified a few more projects in Ubuntu which use NaturalDocs, such as skytools, xul-ext-firegpg, libsscm3, libfreebasic or libfann1. All these packages are in universe though, and while it may be interesting to write an email to ubuntu-devel to encourage the maintainers to use the naturaldocs package to generate -doc packages, it won't make this MIR more interesting for them. That's it. I would really like to be able to activate the doc in augeas though, all the more that documentation is quite important to be able to use it efficiently.

[Bug 677822] [NEW] [MIR] naturaldocs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: naturaldocs The augeas package (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+source/augeas) provides a way to document its APIs using NaturalDocs. This functionality has been activated in the latest build uploaded to Natty (0.7.4-0ubuntu1) but the naturaldocs package is in universe and augeas is in main. This bug requests the inclusion of naturaldocs in main as a build- dependency for augeas. The naturaldocs package meets the all the requirements for MIR: 1. it is already in universe and builds fine for all archs (it is an arch-indep package) 2. it is a new build dependency of a package already in main (augeas) and useful for users (shipping doc with lenses is something users would really benefit from) 3. there is no security concerns known about this package 4. the package is very easy to install and use, and has no known bugs 5. the command-line tool is easy to use and comes with a manpage 6. the only build dependency is debhelper 7. the package complies with FHS 8. the package is very easy to maintain 9. the package description is complete and accurate ** Affects: naturaldocs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [MIR] naturaldocs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 531912] Re: [LUCID] /etc/init.d/ssh seems to work, but actually upstart is used.
Thank you for your answer Colin. I reported the SIGHUP part in this bug because this seems to be what the traditional init script does when doing a reload of ssh, and this is the reason why such an operation fails to combine with Upstart. -- [LUCID] /etc/init.d/ssh seems to work, but actually upstart is used. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 531912] Re: [LUCID] /etc/init.d/ssh seems to work, but actually upstart is used.
The state in lucid is really problematic. Afaik, the init.d scripts are supposed to provide wrappers for upstart in the transition period, and we are using them in a lot of old scripts to manage our fleet. Reloading ssh with /etc/init.d/ssh reload resulted in a weird state where upstart believes ssh is stopped, while it's still up but upstart has no way to control it until the service is stopped from the init.d script. Additionally, doing a kill -1 on sshd leads to the same bug: upstart thinks sshd is stopped when it's really reloaded. Is there a fix planned in -updates for lucid? What is planned for future releases? -- [LUCID] /etc/init.d/ssh seems to work, but actually upstart is used. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/531912 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
