[Bug 544596] Re: Songs not transferred from music store to U1 storage

2010-05-25 Thread Rob Morehouse III
Showing up for a bug for me too. Hand downloading songs from the ubuntu
one folder is a pain, not to mention it doesn't preserve document
folders. Is there any way to kickstart this into working again?

[Bug 99842] Ubuntu does not install on intended medium

2007-04-01 Thread Rob Morehouse III
Public bug reported:

I was under the impression that Ubuntu was "Linux for human beings." Yet
when I tried to install it on myself, the drive would not load. And
rebooting just seemed dangerous.

1. Obtain Ubuntu disk
2. attempt to load disk.
3. still running home brew hardware.

Whoops, pressed send too early, also spelling error above, its not
/etc/rc.log, its the /etc/rc.local file.

Alright here are those updated uname, dmesg, and lspci files I was
talking about. I also included the /etc/rc.log file, although it seems
that the only line that did not have a # in front of it was the line
"exit 0" seems harmless enough?

[Bug 88275] Re: Linux version 2.6.20-9.16 hard crashes

2007-03-12 Thread Rob Morehouse III
Ok thanks Kyle, sorry I took so long to reply I've been away from the computer.
I started without splash on and it crashes when after checking the battery
state, while "*Running local boot scripts (/etc/rc.local)" I'll include the
file in the brackets in a separate attachment in case its needed in the next
post.
I also figured out that actually the crash is not or is no longer,
preventing me from signing into the kernel if I use alt+ctrl+F1. So guess its
a problem with X loading. I'm going to run those commands from Debugging
Kernel Problems wiki again in case they help as well.

[Bug 88275] Re: Linux version 2.6.20-9.16 hard crashes

2007-02-27 Thread Rob Morehouse III
I ran the commands, at two different instances because the Debugging
Kernel Problems didn't make it clear when I am supposed to run the
commands and whether it matters if I run them on the kernel with the bug
or not. The first set of uname-a.log, dmesg.log, and lspci-vvnn.log
files are on the 2.6.20-8.14 kernel I am using as I write this message.
The second time I ran the commands I added "-safemode" to the file names
because I ran them under safemode of kernel 20-9.16, which did not
crash. The normal 9.16 kernel never gives me access to command line
before freezing up.

[Bug 88275] Linux version 2.6.20-9.16 hard crashes

2007-02-26 Thread Rob Morehouse III
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6-386

The latest linux image package, .9 crashes half way through load. I got
around by booting the previous kernel. Once the image of kubuntu
disappears (strangely enough while booting the previous kernel the
Ubuntu image is displayed instead) all that is left is a blank screen,
no prompt that displays keys typed. C-c, C-d, C-x had no effect but
C-M-delete did.
