[Bug 527428] Re: There is no way to rotate a display using nvidia proprietary drivers
Nee700, this bug was submitted during the round of testing for the nvidia and ati propiertary drivers on lucid. The test case said to expect a failure of xrandr when attempting to rotate the screen and to use the nvidia GUI configuration tool instead. However, the GUI config tool has no option to rotate. Hence my confusion on whether or not this bug was a duplicate to begin with. If you think it is more clear to switch the duplicate status than please do so. Thanks. -- There is no way to rotate a display using nvidia proprietary drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/527428 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks for the response, Daniel. I set the values as you described and tried all three input sources but it still doesn't want to record. I confirmed I have a profile selected and have tried all available input devices. It turns out this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/459606 was affecting my tests results. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero On Ubuntu 9.04 while making a standard audio CD, I dragged and dropped a song from my Music Library in Banshee to the Audio Disc Project window in Brasero hoping it would add it to the project like Rhythmbox does. Instead Brasero crashed with a segmentation fault (visible in terminal). Ideally it should not crash and the song should be added to the Brasero project, but if it does crash it would be nice if the project would not be lost. Awe, oh well. I'm not sure I am convinced it is hardware specific. People with nvidia, ati, and intel drivers have all reported it in the comments. I just did a quick test because it used to happen on my machine but doesn't anymore. However, it's one of the first things my wife ran into on the machine I recently built her. ...how long to wait for the bug to arise? I did not measure it, but about a minute seems to consistently reproduce the behavior for me using Pacman which, as you stated, is not a default screensaver. Regarding the hardware, could it be related to using a USB mouse vs. a PS/2 mouse? I am using a USB mouse but I would think that would be abstracted to the screensaver.
