It also affects Mirage, but I'm not sure whether to use the also
affects distribution/package to add them or not.

[Bug 1363748] [NEW] Utopic crash on launch; Attempt to unlock mutex that was not locked

2014-08-31 Thread Ross Brunton
Public bug reported:

Recently updated to Ubuntu Utopic, and when I try to launch pyrenamer it
displays an empty window for a fraction of a second, and crashes with
the following:

/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.7/pyrenamer/pyrenamer.py:120: GtkWarning:
GtkSpinButton: setting an adjustment with non-zero page size is deprecated
  self.glade_tree = gtk.glade.XML(pyrenamerglob.gladefile, main_window)
Attempt to unlock mutex that was not locked
Aborted

It launched and worked okay on Trusty. I created an Utopic debootstrap
and it fails to launch in there also.

[Bug 887598] Re: Use system title-bar and window borders by default

2013-09-14 Thread Ross Brunton
On Saucy at least (Chromium 29) and gnome-shell, launching chromium with
a new user dir creates a configuration with the system title bars.
This presumably means it is the default.

[Bug 863617] [NEW] Fullscreen wobbly windows distort when switching workspaces using switcher

2011-09-30 Thread Ross Brunton
Public bug reported:

When using the Switch Workspace (and only that) launcher in Oneric
with Wobbly Windows and double clicking a fullscreen window will cause
that window to stay clicked or something.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Turn wobbly windows on in Compiz Config.
2. Fullscreen a window.
3. Open the workspace switcher in the Unity sidebar.
4. Double click a window to set the workspace.
5. The window randomly sticks to your mouse, and other weird effects. (For
example, if you open the launcher panel thing, the window slides as if you'd
ALT grabbed it, actually ALT grabbing it will probably launch it flying into
another workspace...)

If you want to temporarily fix it, click once on the window in the
switcher, then switch to an empty workspace, switching back using a
key/mouse combination.

This is probably already reported, but I can't seem to find it...

[Bug 860501] Re: User Documentation should be easier to access

Back to the issue at hand, maybe it would be a good idea for there to be
a launcher on the Desktop in easy reach, or at least a (removable)
indicator in the tray thing.

[Bug 766107] Re: Compiz Scale plugin after drag and drop from dash

2011-09-21 Thread Ross Brunton
You can just killall evince, and you should return to normal.

To clarify Bilal, the bug only occurs if you release the drag ON the
launcher (Where the cursor has a little +), if you release it on one
of the windows or the space at the edges, the dragee zips back to it's
original location as if you dragged it somewhere unsupported.

[Bug 766107] Re: Compiz Scale plugin after drag and drop from dash

2011-09-21 Thread Ross Brunton
Oh! Sorry, I thought you were talking about dragging files from
nautilus... _

Uh, yes, the bug (I assume it's the same one) also happens if you drag a
file from nautilus to the launcher, and wait a bit. And the stuff I
wrote there was related to that. It's probably reported as a separate
bug... Oh, well...

[Bug 853935] [NEW] Setting anything to LeftEdgeButtonX in compiz causes Unity to handle those clicks, even when it is hidden.

2011-09-19 Thread Ross Brunton
Public bug reported:

This is probably already reported, but It's kinda hard to explain.

I'm using Oneric... Unity 4.16.0-0ubuntu1 and Compiz
1:0.9.5.94+bzr2803-0ubuntu5.

Uh, if you set anything to LeftEdge+buttonX (Any button), and Unity's
RevealMode to anything but LeftEdge, any clicks you make will be
processed by the Unity bar thing.

For example, I have LeftEdge+Button1 to switch workspaces and Unity set
to appear if I move the mouse to the upper left, but if I click the left
edge, whatever launcher in that location in the bar will start up (or be
switched to) as well.

[Bug 853159] [NEW] Software Centre Crashes on Startup

2011-09-18 Thread Ross Brunton
Public bug reported:

This is my first bug report thing, so be gentle... Or something...

then crashes with a BadWindow (invalid Window parameter).

Maybe it's to do with Ubuntu SSO? But that's just speculation, or
something...
