[Bug 458010] [NEW] Changing vbr-quality for mp3 ripping has no effect
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse 1. Ubuntu 9.10 2. gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse: 0.10.12-0ubuntu1 3./4. In order to rip cd's to mp3 with rhythmbox i installed gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse then I wanted to change the variable bit for audio cd ripping. the default profile for mp3 (as in gnome-audio-profiles-properties) is audio/x-raw-int,rate=44100,channels=2 ! lame name=enc mode=0 vbr- quality=6 ! id3v2mux i changed vbr-quality to 4 in order to have a higher bit rate. however, this had NO effect on the created files: the size and bitrate (audio properties) were the same as for vbr-quality = 6. restarting ubuntu didn't help.
