[Bug 1742443] Re: Ubuntu 18.04: PrtSc doesn't trigger gnome-screenshot window

2019-10-24 Thread ScHRiLL
If someone needs a workaround for the path part, use the following liner
inotifywait -m ~/Pictures/ -e create | while read path action file; do if [[
$file == *"Screenshot"* ]]; then mv $path/"$file" ~/newpath; fi; done

[Bug 721896] Re: kswapd0 100% cpu usage

2011-09-29 Thread ScHRiLL
I can confirm. This also affects Ubuntu Linux 10.04.3 kernel: 2.6.32-34-server
#77-Ubuntu SMP. The symptoms are the same.
When applications are using only swap the disk start working like crazy. Also
everything that works on the machine slows down thereby. Even simple tasks like
ls take 20 min. Not to mention every day work on the server, it's impossible to
open any type of connection to it.

2010-12-15 Thread ScHRiLL
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: hal

Lid state of my hp 530 is not changing when the lid button is pressed.

again open. lshal -m also doesn't detect any change.

[Bug 406303] [NEW] Compiled zip support in PHP 5.2.4 64bit can't open archives with large number of files.

2009-07-29 Thread ScHRiLL
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: php5

There is a problem with the compiled zip support in PHP5 package ver. 5.2.4
that comes with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 64 bit. When php opens archives with large
number of files it throws an error. This is a confirmed php5 bug and it effects
all 64bit operating system that have php5 ver. 5.2.4 and because this is an LTS
version it should be patched.
- To check if this affecting you try this script
Reproduce code:
---
#!/bin/sh
rm -rf test1 test2 test1.zip test2.zip
mkdir test1 test2
cd test1
php -r 'for ($i = 1; $i < 800; $i++) system("touch test$i.txt");'
cd ../
zip -r test1.zip test1 > /dev/null
php -r '$zip = new ZipArchive(); var_dump($zip->open("test1.zip"));
var_dump($zip->numFiles);'

cd test2
php -r 'for ($i = 1; $i < 876; $i++) system("touch test$i.txt");'
cd ../
zip -r test2.zip test2 > /dev/null
php -r '$zip = new ZipArchive(); var_dump($zip->open("test2.zip"));
var_dump($zip->numFiles);'

Expected result:

[...@sw-nbk01 zip]$ sh ./zip.sh
bool(true)
int(800)
bool(true)
int(876)

Actual result:
--
[...@www zip]$ sh ./zip.sh
bool(true)
int(800)
int(5)
int(0)

Reference: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=40873

-If you would like there is a patch but you'll have to recompile the php
from source. Patch is 100% working

[Bug 245213] Re: Totem with compiz hangs the PC with black screen

2009-02-04 Thread ScHRiLL
I can confirm this. The symptoms are as follows. When trying to play any
video with totem the display freezes, keyboard and mouse are
unresponsive, but the computer seems to work cause I get sound events
from programs like skype, pidgin there is activity on my network. I can
write to my self and get notified on skype. It seems that only the
display freezes. This only happens when compiz is turned on, which
indicates it's definitely an compiz issue conected with video playback .
The only solution to get in control is to reboot the pc by force. But
weird if you disable compiz play video with totem close video then
enable compiz video playback then works until the next reboot.

[Bug 316252] Re: Unable to retrieve MSN Address Book

2009-01-12 Thread ScHRiLL
Exactly the same issue on Hardy, using pidgin 2.52
"Unable to retrieve MSN Address Book"
Now using msn-pecan, it works but this is a step back from version MSNP15.
This is defenetly pidgin issue, every other client connects (aMSM, kopete)
I noticed That msn asked me for a new certificate few days ago, but I accepted
it yesterday, and since then I get the error. I doubt it's that, but its a
clue, maybe MSN made some changes to the protocol...
