[Bug 1044801] [NEW] [Gnome-Control-Center] ticking for backport updates erase the sources.list
Public bug reported: This is how to reproduce the bug. 1-go to "system parameter" in top left corner menu (or launch gnome-control-center in a terminal). 2-in the panel "updates" just tick as if you want to add quantal-proposed or quantal-backport repositories. By doing this, it will modified the file /etc/apt/sources.list . I give 2 files : sources.list.init : sources.list before i add quantal-proposed sources.list.modified : sources.list after i add quantal-proposed luckily, the sources.list is saved before the modification and the command mv sources.list.save sources.list resolve the problem.
