[Bug 951104] Re: kde-telepathy-text-ui hijacks Empathy in Unity
Hi, I had the same issue, and I figured out how to do change the handler (Ubuntu 12.10). Edit /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Client.KTp.TextUi.service to comment out (or remove) the link to ktp-text-ui and use Empathy instead. In the end, the service file will look like this: [D-BUS Service] Name=org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Client.KTp.TextUi # Exec=/usr/lib/kde4/libexec/ktp-text-ui Exec=/usr/lib/empathy/empathy-chat After this, I figured I had to restart dbus, but doing a sudo service dbus restart is evidently a bad idea, since it locks up everything. So I suppose you have to log out and log back in (or reboot, which is what I ended up having to do). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/951104 Title: kde-telepathy-text-ui hijacks Empathy in Unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/951104/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 756517] Re: unity crashes on fullscreen flash video
It is something I faced too. I was watching a flash on a firefox on full screen. Suddenly the machine goes into power saving mode and screen goes black and when I do any activity like moving a pointer, the screen returns but the video is frozen and though there is audio and I can move the pointer, all the clicks are ineffective. The only option is the restart the machine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/756517 Title: unity crashes on fullscreen flash video -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 144406] Re: some windows do not appear in the window list
Niall's script worked great for me too. However, it stopped in the middle complaining that it did not find the command `intltool-update`, so I had to do a `sudo apt-get install intltool` and re-run the script. Then it ran without any hiccups and fixed the issue for me. [Bug 213705] Re: (hardy) video play's slow when wireless is working on msi pr200
I have exactly the same problem as jacobbb suggested in the comment above. totem plays slow and vlc plays at normal speed without audio. well, i learnt to live with this problem by logging out of ubuntu and logging in again. But the above solution is better but not completely. After I execute prekillall pulseaudio /pre Everything is back to normal. Totem gives an error dialog if I play anything after I run the second command given... pre pulseaudio --log-target=syslog /pre Hope that helps sharat87 -- (hardy) video play's slow when wireless is working on msi pr200 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/213705 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
