I too am seeing this error. Same circumstances as #23. I have recently installed Win 10 on sda but sda1 is not the NTFS partition, that is sda2. Ubuntu is on sdb, / on sdb2, /boot/efi on sdb1. I can find no reference to sda1 in my Ubuntu /etc or /boot so I don't know where it's coming from. A calibration step in libsane's genesys_gl124.c measures the average illumination (line ~3062) and then uses that value in a division on line ~3090. The divisor would probably never be zero if your scanner is working, but if the LEDs are not turning on then all bets are off! I plugged my scanner into a different USB port, and that fixed it. [Bug 1316357] [NEW] Network interface IP address not set on first boot if config drive used
Public bug reported: I'm trying to deploy an Ubuntu cloud image (I hit same issue on all Ubuntu images available from http://cloud-images.ubuntu.com/) on a non DHCP network in Open Stack environment using config drive. Cloud init local successfully sets the /etc/network/interfaces file but does not reloads the interface and the virtual machine never gets an IP. If the VM is rebooted (or networking manually restarted from console) then Ubuntu picks up the new interface configuration and everything is working as excepted. The image itself has a configured eth0 interface set for dhcp. If I delete this configuration (from /etc/network/interfaces.d/eth0.cfg) from the image then everything works as expected. After multiple tests in different Open Stack deployments I can confirm that this issue is intermittent. Sometimes the image would pickup the new IP but most of the time it wont and needs VM reboot in order to get the network configured. After some more debugging I think that there is some timing issue in the init scripts boot process on Ubuntu where the networking init scripts will try to contact the dhcp to get an IP but in the same time the cloud-init-local will setup the network and the networking scripts will never find out that the interface was changed from DHCP to static. Public bug reported: When I am dragging Icons inside nautilus or on my desktop (with icons enabled), the launcher dimms out except for the appropriate icons. Exmaple: I drag a text file around on my desktop and the launcher dimms out except for gedit and the trash. Besides that the nautilus / personal folder button is also visible but thats a separate bug I guess. Public bug reported: I deleted a file and opened the trash by clicking on the trash-icon. it opens in nautilus as it should but the window is too wide, maybe because the buttons are too long? I can confirm that I have exactly the the same type of problem, and that it is limited to images printed from The Gimp (I can print the exact same image from Geeqie). The error reports from my printer begin: ERROR: limitcheck OFFENDING COMMAND: image STACK: ... then a bunch of gibberish no doubt indicating the contents of the stack in this particular case. I'm using a 3.2Mb color PNG file, which I'm attempting to print from GIMP 2.6.8 on Lucid. The printer is a Fuji-Xerox C1110 with postscript 3 support. As previously stated, this problem only happens with the Gimp.
