[Bug 798414] Re: update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough free space
feeling amazed that the original report of this problem is from 2011 and still not fixed. How can anybody expect ubuntu to be a realistic alternative for normal desktop users? [Bug 1100546] Re: Power indicator favours 'not present' mouse over laptop battery level
it is critical on a laptop to be able to see wether the laptop battery is running low with a glance. [Bug 998285] Re: Tapping alt-tab switches between windows of the same application sometimes
Andreas wrote: "The reason for using shortcuts to switch windows is to do it automatically and without thought." This is so right. It is very annoying not to able to predict the behavior of alt-tab, to do it without thinking about where you were a few minuttes ago. It is confusing and slows me down, The only thing I can be sure about is that the alt-tab behavio is sure to give me the wrong window next time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/998285 Title: Tapping alt-tab switches between windows of the same application sometimes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/998285/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 511942] Re: Default directory for saved screenshots is /home instead of /home/login
ui issue: open preferences, choose other, navigate to parent folder, double click on folder (you now are placed 'inside' the folder), press choose. It looks like the folder has been chosen at the settings screen. But it has not. It is only chosen if you navigate to the parent folder, select folder, and press 'open', that the settings is acutally saved. Again, it looks like the folder is chosen in the ui - but it is not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/511942 Title: Default directory for saved screenshots is /home instead of /home/login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/shutter/+bug/511942/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 511942] Re: Default directory for saved screenshots is /home instead of /home/login
Strange behaviour: It works if I choose the 'Pictures' folder or another std ubuntu folder. To reproduce: Add a new folder, ~/screenshots (or ~/test), set as save folder in shutter. Now screenshots are just saved in home dir. Shut down shutter, reopen, the setting is reverted back to users home.

[Bug 296327] Re: smb:/// No application is registered as handling this file
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 9372 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/9372 I can confirm this problem in 9.04: Typing smb://servername in a nautilus windows location bar works. But bookmarking this and trying to open the bookmark gives the error "No application is registered". Using "Connect to server" gives the same problem. After applying the fixes from the last post by Michael Gefen (adding nautilus as smb:// protocol handler) it works. This "should just work" - so can the gconf settings be included in a bugfix release? [Bug 67164] Re: Evince print dialog doesn't respect page setup settings
Setting page ordering on "Page setup" tab is not respected. For instance, i have a pdf with slides, pages are wider than they are long. So I choose "right to left, top to bottom" to get them in correct order. Not respected, get the same result as "left to tight, top to bottom". The bug is also occuring just when showing "Print preview", not only when printing physically. Ubuntu 8.10, Document Viewer 2.24.1 Amazing simple stuff like this is untested.
