[Bug 532637] [NEW] FFE: requesting new package apache-openid

2010-03-05 Thread Szilveszter Farkas
Public bug reported:

This is a rewrite of the old apache-openid (mpopenid) plugin which looks
like a retired upstream project. It is deployed on some internal
Canonical servers and has now reached the point where we consider it
sufficiently stable for wider deployment so we've got approval to
release it and it would be great to make it available to all Ubuntu
users.

We have just released version 2.0.0 under the GPLv3 license, and a
package is ready to go through the REVU process.

2007-07-29 Thread Szilveszter Farkas
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xchat

Latest XChat (version 2.8.4) has a nice feature: after joining a

The problem is that Edgy's Sysinfo is written in C++, and its
development was discontinued by the upstream author. It was rewritten in
C#, using Mono - that's working and included in Feisty. The problem is
that the backport policy says that only minor modifications are
accepted. A complete rewrite is not like that... I'm really sorry. The
attached package worked for many people (it's the backported version of
Feisty's).

[Bug 59378] Re: [edgy] Couldn't start sysinfo, kept crashing to apport

2006-10-07 Thread Szilveszter Farkas
I'm really sorry, but the upstream author didn't respond to my answers
about releasing a new version. I'll try to do something with this bug
myself when I get to it.

2006-09-13 Thread Szilveszter Farkas
I'll upload the new Mono-based Sysinfo to edgy as soon as I get a new
release from upstream (some policy things need to be done). Please be
patient, I try to do my best...

2006-09-07 Thread Szilveszter Farkas
stack smashing detected - this should be a programmer mistake. there
is a new sysinfo version available, but that's written in c#. maybe i'll
package that one for edgy, because the development of the c++ version
was stopped.

[Bug 56175] Cannot install acroread-debian-files

2006-08-12 Thread Szilveszter Farkas
Public bug reported:

Please see the atteched screenshot.

First I marked acroread for installation. After that I marked acroread-
debian-files for installation, but I got the message that acroread is
not marked for installation. You can see on the screenshot that the
acroread line is green, so marked for installation...
