[Bug 1773113] Re: nvidia-390 does not show GUI
Installing nvidia-396 from graphics-drivers PPA solved the issue for me. Only the nvidia-settings app fails silently when I try to open it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1773113 Title: nvidia-390 does not show GUI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-390/+bug/1773113/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1773113] Re: nvidia-390 does not show GUI
After upgrade to 18.04 my Asus X550LNV with NVIDIA GeForce 840M [GM108M] is only usable with the nouveau-drivers. I've tried many combos with the NVIDIA drivers but only get to login loop, frozen startup process or can switch to a terminal but in no circumstances can I get to GUI with the NVIDIA drivers installed. Unfortunately this not only problem, there are more. :( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1773113 Title: nvidia-390 does not show GUI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-390/+bug/1773113/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1573453] Re: gnome-software cant find libgs_plugin_xdg_app_reviews.so
Getting the same error message but the Gnome Software doesn't even start but fails silently. [Bug 33269] Re: root filesystem fails to mount (sata_nv module is loaded)
Experiencing the same symptoms in a 64bit system based on ASUS A8V-E Deluxe, with two identical SATA 250 Gb disks set as RAID1 and partitioned so that /, /boot, /home and swap are on separate partitions after upgrade from Gutsy to Hardy (on April 7th). Loading, please wait... (I've disabled the splash from boot) and then BusyBox: ALERT! /dev/md2 does not exist (= root partition). This only happens when I let it boot to system based on kernel 2.6.24-15, but if I choose 2.6.22-based kernel from GRUB menu, the problem does not show up. -- root filesystem fails to mount (sata_nv module is loaded) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/33269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
