[Bug 1436064] Re: SIM-PIN has to be entered every time after leaving the airplanemode
I don't consider that it's a bug, because in my case : my 1st SIM is for personnal use and always activated my 2nd SIM is for professionnal use and only activated when I'm at work. At this moment, every worked day : (each morning before going to work) I just have to enter PIN in Network Menu of my professionnal SIM to activate it. (each afternoon after having worked) I switch to airplane mode then deactive it and I only set the PIN of my personnal SIM. It leaves my professionnal SIM offline. By this way, I don't have to reboot my phone every working day. I find it easy to use. That's why it would be better if a choice («Remember PIN») is available for each SIM in System Settings (Phone or Security). If it's really blocking for you, you can remove the PIN of your SIM in «Security and Privacy» in System Settings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1436064 Title: SIM-PIN has to be entered every time after leaving the airplanemode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuphone/+bug/1436064/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 879917] Re: Rate music you are currently listening to
i really miss this feature as well. i abandoned amarok quite a while ago, but i remember there being a variety of convenient ways to rate the song currently playing. * the notifier in the menu had a stars-bar attached where you could rate the song much like explained here: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/banshee-list/2008-December/msg00146.html however this doesn't appear to work on natty * in the player, the top bar, displaying the controls and the currently played song, also had a star-bar attached to it and my favourite: * you are able to bind global keyboard shortcuts that would assign a specific rating to the currently played song. e.g. i had ctrl+mod+1 through 5 to rate. again, this worked globally, not only in the player. so consider this a bump :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879917 Title: Rate music you are currently listening to To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/banshee/+bug/879917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 227092] [NEW] Package description should mention Firefox
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: adblock-plus The package description of adblock-plus reads: > Adblock Plus is a content-filtering extension for web browsers This is misleading, because it does not work in Konqueror, Opera etc. It should be mentioned that it only works with Firefox (and related programs such as Swiftfox). [Bug 218748] [NEW] unexpected behaviour of read in command_not_found_handle
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: command-not-found OS: Kubuntu 7.10 Bash Version: 3.2-0ubuntu11 command-not-found version: 0.2.8ubuntu2 --- I tried to create an own version of command_not_found_handle() containing a "read" command. This is what happens: The "read" command sends the process to the background. Strangely, this only happens if "read" is invoked _behind_ "python /usr/lib/command-not-found", and the problem does not occur if the function is called explicitly. $ command_not_found_handle(){ read -p "read 1"; python /usr/lib/command-not-found -- $1; read -p "read 2"; echo foo; } $ command_not_found_handle sl read 1 The program 'sl' is currently not installed. [Bug 119063] Re: sometimes power button shuts down without asking
Let me add that analyzing the process list with grep is a rather poor hack, so the line if ps -Af | grep -q '[k]desktop' && pidof dcopserver > /dev/null && test -x /usr/bin/dcop ; then in /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh might yield false positive results (such as "kate kdesktop" etc.) The sophisticated way to do it is if ps -C kdesktop > /dev/null [...] or if pidof kdesktop > /dev/null [...] Kind regards, Thomas -- sometimes power button shuts down without asking https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119063 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 10239] Re: dhcp3-client: Does not send hostname to server by default
dhclient does send the hostname with the patch (I verified via wireshark), but it doesn't send a client identifier (cid). A fritz box (DSL router, market leader in germany) won't update it's dns records with the sent hostname without a cid, and some other DSL routers show this behavior, too, at least from what I gather using google. Maybe the relevant RFCs have something to say about this. To make dhclient send a cid, you have to manually enter the mac address in /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf. dhcpcd *does* send a cid (and hostname) by default without any patches, as does windows and OS X. In light of bug 26949 perhaps you might consider making dhcpcd the default client? -- dhcp3-client: Does not send hostname to server by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/10239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
